Located west of the city in a restored rock ranch house, Hudson’s on the Bend features beautiful herb, flower, and vegetable gardens and open air dining on the patio or in the garden gazebo. We are, hands down, the most romantic restaurant in Austin.

If you are a foodie and love interesting food then go here. The food is not like what you would get in any other place. Loved everything that we had here including the elk and pork chop which I highly recommend. The restaurant itself is very quite and quaint. Took my boy here for his birthday dinner and he loved everything that he tried! go if you are in the area. It is quite expensive but, remember it is about the experience!

It's rare that a trout dish can triumph over prime tenderloin but this one succeeded! Breaded in cornflakes and love, one of the best fish dishes I've ever had. The rest of the meal was great too - lobster bisque to start and the fresh bread is heavenly. I can't believe the only non-stellar item was the chocolate-dipped pecan pie. The shell was so hard it was difficult to eat! Here's a tip though - the price may be high but the dress code is not that fancy. You can wear shorts and leave the heels at home!

I go to high end eating establishments all the time. I have to say I was disappointed with this place. The menu was really high priced for the food and service that was put out. The portions, while tasty, are extremely small. In Texas, I expect a $17 salad with no meat to be absolutely huge and good, but no. It was basically half a cup of mediocre lettuce with 2 strawberries. That was all. The rattlesnake cake, which was one, was probably 5% rattlesnake. For $160 between my wife and I, we left there hungry.

My wife and I each had the 3 course with wine. .. amazing. Wine was perfectly paired for each course and the tenderloin was quite literally the best I've ever had. My wife was trying to get me to go here, I wanted Eddy V's.... I'm glad she won that round :)

For some reason, I anticipated this restaurant overlooking a body of water, but it's actually quite cozy and intimate. The specialties at Hudson's on the Bend focus on the different types of game prepared in the restaurant; do keep in mind that Hudson's has a rotating menu throughout the year, so what you order in the spring might be different from what you order in the fall. You definitely cannot go wrong with the staples on the menu (I really liked the hot and crunchy trout), but always ask your server for the specials of the day - you'd be pleasantly surprised at what Hudson's can do with game!

An Austin institution, its worth the drive. The food is exotic and great. It can be pricey, therefore leave it for special occasions. One of Austin best restaurants...

Great place for date night! The food was fantastic and love every bit of it. This place is a very nice quiet place for anyone to enjoy but not much of a place to take the little ones. The location is a great for anyone that wants to get away and maybe go to the wonderful Lake Travis before or after a bite to eat. Hope you enjoy it.
