CHRISTOPHER MARLEY RECLAIMED BLACK TIP SHARKS

This is an original composition by artist and naturalist Christopher Marley, a 48”x68” study consisting of nine Black Tip Sharks, arrayed in a lozenge formation. Black tip sharks (Carcharhinus limbatus) are common to the world’s coastal tropical and subtropical waters. Most individuals have black tips or edges on the pectoral, dorsal, pelvic, and caudal fins. Blacktip sharks are known to leap and spin out of the water while attacking schools of fish. The species is important to both commercial and recreational fisheries and is considered Near Threatened, due to its low reproductive rate and high value to fishers.

Our live edge wood slabs come from naturally fallen trees. Each exotic wood slab maintains the unique naturally occurring lines of the tree trunk along its edges. This gives each finished work a one-of-a-kind appearance, resulting in inspired and inspiring dining room tables, coffee tables, countertops, and more. #LiveEdgeWood #ExoticWoodSlabs

Own an object of history. At the end of World War II, many Allied military officers, including Admiral Chester Nimitz and Admiral William "Bull" Halsey, brought home Japanese naval binoculars as mementos of the conflict.

At up to 7 ft in length, these instruments look magnificent when polished and mounted on wooden or metal tripods and provide impressive optics – superb for scanning the majesty of mountains hillsides or scrutinizing the water traffic from a beach-front house.
