Awesome video of the New Zealand SPCA who taught 3 shelter dogs to drive cars! Remember, shelter dogs are some of the best and you are saving a life! http://news.yahoo.com/worlds-first-driving-dog-goes-viral-123156247.html

Awesome story of cat named Holly who was lost in Daytona Beach, Florida then showed up near her house in West Palm Beach a month later! She was skinny and almost lost half her weight, but scientists suspect that she walked all or most of the way home! Her microchip helped identify her and return her safely. http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/01/19/one-cats-incredible-journey/

Scary story of a entire family and two dogs in Gloucester Township who were exposed to a kitten infected with Rabies. Please be very careful with any stray, sick animal and know the signs of Rabies! There are some helpful tips included in this article: http://www.nj.com/south/index.ssf/2013/01/cat_tests_positive_for_rabies.html

Since we are on the subject of odd things being removed from our animals, this link has some great x-ray pictures of strange foreign bodies! One dog even ate Homer Simpson! (Note, just ignore the very last paragraph which is an advertisement.) http://www.probioticsmart.com/blog/16-weirdest-things-dogs-have-eaten/

Having a complete dental exam with your vet is a great way to spot any dental issues with your pet, BUT brushing at home is the best way to keep them healthy! This is a great article about dental care at home for clean teeth and fresh breath. http://news.yahoo.com/cure-bad-pet-breath-could-toothbrush-away-092718013.html

We had to have our dog put down. It was a heartbreaking decision, but the visiting doctor and her assistant were simply wonderful! They were SO compassionate and caring. The procedure was carried out extremely professionally. Our dog was relaxed and not stressed at all. Housepaws made what was already a terrible experience much much more bearable. I would highly recommend their service. Thank you so much for all that you do!

This is the best way to have a vet see your dog! My 11 year old German Shepherd cannot safely get in and out of a car anymore due to hip issues, so the vet comes to her. Wonderful service! (also very reasonably priced) Bravo!

I had a Golden Retriever that was acting very sick. I called the vet I normally went to, they had no appointments to fit him in for 3 days. I called House of Paws in the morning around 9 am. They were at my house by 330 pm. They did a full exam, blood work called me at work (while still at my home) to update me on their concerns. I received an email and phone call at approximately 8 am the next morning (Saturday) from Dr. Lauren on the blood work results. My dog was in their facility that day at 1030 am for Xrays and an ultrasound. Dr Lisa came from home to assist Dr. Lauren with the ultrasound and to explain the results with treatment options. Amazing!!!! That night, I sent an email with questions and I received a personal phone call the next day (Sunday) from Dr. Lisa. I can not express the exceptional service I received from the wonderful secretary working to getting my dog seen and the care and concern Dr. Lisa and Dr. Lauren gave to my dog and myself. I highly recommend them to anyone that needs a vet!!! Tara

Excellent vets, my cat is terrified of vet offices, so their homevisits are worth the money. Shots, physical exam, teeth checkup, even take samples for tests for parasites, they can't do surgery from the van as far as i know, that's ok. My scaredycat is large and a handful, so this firm sent a vet AND a vet tech over in their mobile van to handle tough cases. Complete with heavy gloves. Boy they'd better bring the gloves, my feline is a buzzbomb. You get a complete verbal and written review of your pet's condition, problems, future needs. The vet visits are fast. If you have special case pet like me, tell them when you make an appointment, they will respond. Two reasons why they don't get a grade 5: First: my cats for years always got a Three Year Rabies shot, a product available to vets, no booster needed, the product lasts for 3 years. My township has been ok with that too, explain the 3 year shot when you renew the pet's license. This firm does not approve of or offer 3 year rabies shots. I'd like them to reconsider that. Second: they have arrived late sometimes, i mean an hour late. They have to invest in a mobile GPS device. I don't know if they did that. All things considered, they do a good job, and are recommended.

I heard about House Paws about two years ago. Since our dog Mugsey was getting older and had some health issues I called and asked about their services. Because he was getting older I would ask my groomer Dale Crockett if I would know when it was time to say good-bye. On Friday evening my husband and I went out for an early dinner. It was silent when we entered the house. When I looked at Mugsey, I knew, I just knew he was telling me he was tired..he was ready. I held him all night and called House Paws early Saturday morning April 25th. Dr.Joyce (I think} and a tech (Amanda I think) arrived at noon. They were so kind, supportive and gave us all the time we needed with Mugsey. It was amazing how calm he was. Whenever he had to go to the Vets, he would shake the whole time. I find comfort knowing Mugsey passed at home with family and friends, not on a cold hard metal table. When it was over they wrapped him up in his favorite blanket, he looked like he was sleeping so peacefully. My son Phillip said his Father and I were crying more about losing Mugsey (a dog) than the death of person. I think that's true, only because relationships with people can sometimes be disappointing, but a relationship with a dog is something so special. You are their world and they love you unconditionally. Mugsey would have been 16 on May 5th. Its amazing how an eight pound little Poodle could leave such a void in you life. The house seems so empty....I now like to think of Mugsey running across the Rainbow Bridge, jumping and running the way he was as a puppy. We know we will get another dog but we'll never forget our little Mugs. When we do I most definitely will utilize all of House Paws Mobile Veterinary Services. I could never put into words how grateful my husband and I are for the wonderful, caring, comforting way they handled two hysterical pet owners. I tell my friends House Paws is the Hospice for pets.

Came to my home to help end a very old dogs suffering. The vet was on time, courteous and empathetic. She clearly understood how difficult this was and made a horrible thing as painless as possible. I can't recommend this service highly enough and will use them at every opportunity.

I am pleased to say that Charlie was happy to see you all when you came to the house for his visit. He was thrilled that he did not have to ride in a car (where he always gets sick). He, as well as I, enjoyed having Dr. Wood and her assistant come to the house and there was much less stress for Charlie (and me) and we will continue to use your services.

We had house paws to our home for the first time this week to provide vaccinations and exams to three pets and to provide some grooming support for our long hair Maine Coon cat. Dr Dana and Adam arrived on time and were able to provide well checks and vaccines to our dog and two cats. They also helped remove some matting from our long hair cat and everyone is doing great! What an excellent service! Much better than taking all three pets to a local vet. Not only did it save time, but my pets were able to avoid the stress of car travel and waiting at the vet office. I highly recommend their in-home services - the $20 house call charge is WORTH IT!
