hello had the experience of staying in the hotel just recently between 11/11-22/11. firstly the location is nice. just near the main station. everything is nearby in walking distance. the rooms are neat & tidy & comfortable. single room is adequate spaced for one person. the main thing i liked is the breakfast, really good, very nice spread. the staff is also very courteous and friendly. everything is likable and would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to stay near the main station in munich.

One of the delights visiting Munich was to have stayed at the Hotel Monaco. Every aspect can be rated as excellent, from the arrival to departure. The staff is exceptional in its welcoming spirit, everyone was gracious, prompt in fulfilling needs, giving good recommendations for restaurants. The rooms are spacious, well appointed, clean, comfortable. The daily breakfast was most delicious, an excellent variety of eats. We could not have been more pleased and shall gladly recommend to others. Should we return to Munich, we will gladly make reservations at the Hotel Monaco.

Really great place to stay!! Staying here for 4 nights (still there now on the free wi-fi!), and have to say that the staff make us feel very welcome. Very helpful, and has a 24-hour reception which is great for peace of mind! A highlight of the stay is the breakfast - really nice spread, excellent choice of cold meats and cheeses, and fresh bread, but also yoghurt, cereal and tea / coffee. Rooms are clean and well-presented, and location is excellent with plenty of restaurants and bars in the area, as well as plenty of local transport options to get you anywhere you like in the city. Would definitely recommend, many thanks to all the staff for a great stay! :-)

Despite my skepticism, I found the hotel service lived up to (if not exceeded) its glowing reviews. But what struck me more was how much I learned to trust the staff. More than any other hotel, I trust them with my laptop, other expensive electronics, and even my children. They felt more like good neighbors than like service providers. The hotel has maybe 20 rooms in total, so none of the staff are detached and anonymous. Cons: - a little street noise (but not much due to the lower floors being apartments) -- almost certainly better than other hotels in this area that start at ground level - little, but adequate, common space for when one person is sleeping and a roommate wants to remain awake (as you'd expect for a small hotel) - "adult" entertainment and supplies nearby, for those with sheltered children -- a problem with any hotel in this area - Those from non-Christian religions may be put off by the angel imagery.

We loved the Hotel Monaco! We didn't know what to expect from the slightly seedy area where it is located, but when we stepped off the elevator we were warmly welcomed by the staff. They even had our name on a chalk board welcoming us! The room was very nicely decorated and very large. Even though it was Oktoberfest, the noise from the street wasn't loud enough to bother us. I would highly recommend the Hotel Monaco, and if we are back in Munich we will definitely stay there again.
