Most convenient hotel for anyone traveling from old domestic airport terminal. Building is very stylish and the lagoon concept inside is very innovative. But service is average and extremely crowded with marriage and other events crowd. Base category room is average. But club floor rooms are well designed and maintained.

Went to a lesser know restaurant ..East. .. chef is good .... mushroom fry is a must try here. Service might be a bit erratic ..... took me 25 mins to get a fresh lime soda. Great taste for Indianised Chinese.

Very easily the worst 5 star in mumbai. While the location is convenient, with more and more airport hotels popping up, this should be anyone and everyone's last option. The hotel, upon arrival is beautiful, well maintained, and has a unique, plush property. Upon any inspection further than the lobby, one quickly comes to realize that this is a poorly maintained, poorly planned property that touts itself on its luxurious facade. Looking past the lagoon and decent restaurants, the hotel has no redeeming qualities. The halls are small, long, and gloomily lit. The hallway carpets are too old-- they're dirty and stained with separations where the carpeting has shrunk. The walls are discolored and dirty. The spa is strangely (in a seemingly impromptu way) positioned in normal hotel rooms, which makes for a strange--and not particularly relaxing spa experience. The guest rooms have a musty smell and scratched, stained furniture. Even the "better" rooms are still bleak, usually their only redeeming quality, their lagoon balconies. The lagoon, however, is a terribly wasteful and mostly unimpressive amentity. It gets too hot when it's sunny, and it seems like the carbon footprint based on the energy it takes to temperature control a giant glass dome in a hot tropical place like Mumbai should be enough of a reason to choose a different property near the airport, or anywhere else. For about the same price point (sometimes lower), you can stay at JW Marriott, Taj, and ITC near the airport. These properties are much cleaner, excellently maintained, and have great customer service. Before booking your stay here, try considering a different hotel or a different location because you're more than likely to be disappointed with Sahara Star.
