The hotel could not be better placed as it sits on the borders of both the famous 'old town' whilst still affording excellent access to the new town. It is roughly a gentle 500 metre walk to the famous golden sands of the Levante beach and in very close proximity to the shops. In short, perfectly placed. On first arrival you are met with an immaculate reception that exudes quality befitting a four star hotel. The staff, or certainly most of them are adept in many languages including more importantly for me, English. The receptionists, who in truth are arguably the face of the hotel are extremely polite and simply can't do enough for you. The same goes for each and every member of staff I met from cleaner to Director. To the hotel: You are made to feel somewhat special as you walk in through the stylish entrance and met with a sparkling glass and silver design that oozes quality. The rooms are incredibly generous and arguably some of the best thought out designs I've had the pleasure to stay in. Kept maintained to a high order and cleaned every day the rooms offer an array of extras such as a double sink, generous bath and shower along with WC and Bidet. This clearly caters for the disabled and is a very impressive attribute. The view I enjoyed was of the skyscape and sea, and that was only on the eighth floor. How impressive the higher floors must be one can only imagine. It really does seem that the RH group have put their thinking caps on long and hard over most aspects of their hotels and the Victoria is no exception. From an ironing board to a hairdryer, the hotel has it all. The air conditioned rooms offer free and fast Wi-Fi, UK TV Channels, all available at no extra cost. The restaurant offers a fantastic selection of food in a buffet style format. With at least eight different foods to choose from you would be hard pressed to not find something you'd like. The food was always hot, and certainly in abundance. Waiter service was impeccable. There speed was prompt and unlike many hotels I've visited there was no discrimination between the locals and other residents. Again, most of the staff spoke sufficient English to make communication as little a hurdle as possible. One thing that really did impress me was that I had been celebrating my 28th wedding anniversary and it was a pleasant surprise when the staff got wind of this and presented my Wife and I with a stunning chocolate cake as a surprise. That is something I've only ever experienced in five star hotels in the past. The pool area: It isn't the largest pool I've been to, but in truth it is more than satisfactory and again, as the rest of the hotel very well maintained. There is a hot-tub to enjoy along with a good number of sunbeds to soak up the rays. I didn't use the area as I'm a beach lover, but did ask fellow guests of their thoughts and there was nothing other than positive feedback. The entertainment was possibly the hotels only weakness. It really did fall short of both the Spanish and other guests' expectations. I did get to speak to the director Ana who made note of this and I have no reason to doubt that this will be addressed. I know holidays are all about rest and relaxation, but if you're the energetic type then you have a very well equipped gym and sauna there for you to use at your leisure. I could go on and on, such was the impressive nature of the stay. From private parking underground if you needed to the sports - recreation areas, there is simply everything for everyone. A well stocked bar, a well aired foyer and fantastic location. What more can you ask for. I highly recommend this place. I would encourage people to book early for the hotel has grown in popularity very quickly. It is without doubt one of the best hotels barring none in this popular resort, one that thoroughly deserves the positive review I'm delighted to offer.

Very nice hotel, booked the superior room, well worth it , breakfast very good, great choice , staff good and friendly, near the old town, but not so noisy, would stay there again, rooms need a bit of update, but two balcony's, 40inish tv, loads of English channels, and very cheap.

Single mum and toddler of 2.5yrs, travelling with family of 9 persons. After some confusion at the Reception Desk (where only 1 room was provided for a booking of 2 twin rooms) we were allowed to leave luggage in the locked Luggage Room until rooms were ready at 2pm. The key for my room (on the 6th floor) didn’t work and the lifts were so slow that I took the stairs down to Reception to re-programme the key (leaving my very tired toddler playing outside the room with her Nan) and returned up the stairs to try again. Still didn’t work so returned to Reception (again by stairs as lifts didn’t arrive) and demanded a new room on the 2nd floor so I didn’t have to take the baby up and down 6 flights every day! The Manager changed rooms without a problem and had sent the Hotel Maintenance to open the original room. We also needed 2 rooms to be together and that was provided too, so their action in solving problems was pretty good. Rooms ending in ..05 are corner rooms and more spacious than others. Could faintly hear road noise and music on 2nd Floor with the patio doors shut, but it all stopped around midnight. Beach and shops were a nice walking distance, even for the toddler. (12 euro for 2 beds & brolly on the beach). We requested a spare bed in one of the rooms for one night only and this posed no problem with Reception and was set up almost immediately without any charge – they are very accommodating and very pleasant. The Hotel was very clean and well maintained, the pool area was spotless, no battling for sunbeds and no ants or bugs anywhere! The towels and bedding were changed every day. The chambermaid even left sweets and toys for my little girl on her bedside table, which she was thrilled with. She also arranged for a kettle tray to heat her bottles (which is free of charge) that arrived within minutes and she left 2 lots of spare bed sheets for any “little accidents” – very thoughtful. The food was delicious and something for everyone in a clean and spacious dining room with plenty of tables. My toddler ate lots of fresh tasty fish, vegetables & french fries – a good, impressive buffet-style selection of salads, starters, mains and desserts (the Seafood Night was brilliant, very fresh food and lots of it). Breakfast opened earlier on the departure date to allow tea/coffee and continental breakfast before we left for the airport – again, a nice touch. My only disappointment (apart from the very grumpy waitresses in the dining room!), was the “mini-club” which was only open from 4pm-8pm (which was when my toddler went for her afternoon sleep). We did attend 1 day, but just sat in the hut and given a picture to colour and a film to watch – not much interaction. There was no disco or activities, unlike the neighbouring Hotel Benidorm Plaza, which had a very enthusiastic children’s entertainer called Ivan modelling balloons & face painting, lively mini-disco until 11pm and games then dancing for the adults, so we went there each evening and also to Festilandia Fairground which was superb, costing 10euro for 6 rides or 20euro for 13, and open until 1:30am! My little girl and I had a great holiday and so did the rest of the family, but the Best Western Hotel Victoria is more of a quiet hotel (albeit a very good and recommendable one!), just not fully entertaining for children.
