Save your money and stay somewhere else. I booked here because of the proximity to Old Town but the room is actually not great for the money you pay. I should have stayed at a better place regardless of the distance from Old Town. I actually was contemplating staying at other Heritage properties but will NOT because on the last night of my stay there was a ball which should be no big deal or disruption to hotel guest. BUT it was, the hotel was overrun and the parking lot was closed off for the most part except for a limited amount of parking to the rear. There were not enough parking spaces to accommodate guests and the staff made me move my car because I was in a space they were using for valet. There were so many empty valet spots because the Ball attendees were parking themselves so this left even less parking for guest staying at the hotel! Evidently the owner of the hotel designated a huge area for valet parking for ball goers. Forget that the hotel guest had nowhere to park! Such blatant disregard for people that make his business operate (customers) is just unforgivable. I will never stay here again. NEVER!!! My advice to you is to stay anywhere else in ABQ except Heritage properties.

Carpet was wet and room stank with musty old smoke even though it was a non smoking room... all my clothes became damp. Staff didn't attend to room or provide alternatives but contracted technicians showed up at door to ask when I was checking out so they could fix carpets. Front desk discounted bill by 15% for my troubles...still was almost $290 for two terrible nights and just added insult to injury.

We stayed here last year for the balloon fiesta and we loved it the staff went the extra mile to make you feel welcomed especially in the restaurant the rooms are very nice and clean and the beds comfortable. You can’t beat the location it is walking distance to old town Albuquerque with plenty to do and see lots of great shopping and fantastic restaurants all walking distance. We loved it and look forward to staying there again on our next visit to the land of enchantment New Mexico

We stayed there for a Firefighter Christmas Party, which we do every year. When we walked into our room, we noticed that there was a big crack in the mirror on the closet door. I should have called the front desk to report it, but I didn't, figured it was already probably already known. Well 2 days later, i was checking my bank account, and noticed a $250 charge, so of course I called to ask what this charge was. They said that we broke the mirror! I have been back and forth on talking to different people at the hotel, and they are still accusing us of doing it. They said if the room was like that before, they would not have allowed anybody to stay in it until it was fixed. Well obviously, they didn't, and rented it to us! If I had done something, I would have taken full responsibility for it, but I nor my husband broke the mirror! I hardly doubt that it costs that much to replace anyways. Horrible customer service, and they never notified us of this accusation, and just charge the $250. I will and have notified all of our Firefighter family of this incident so they know better than to rent a room and be charged for things they have not done!

My fiance and I stayed over night for our colleagues wedding and reception. Their hotel is beautiful on the outside and pretty authentic on the inside. It was a nice hotel for the price. They have a chapel, pool, spa outside and a gift shop and restaurant/bar on the inside. I think they had three receptions going on that night and we were oblivious to the other two. The staff was very friendly. I wish they had a fridge or a little bit more amenities in the room.

I went against my better judgement after reading the reviews through here and went to Hotel Albuquerque today to talk to someone about reserving a suite for my wedding. I was hoping to be able to stay in the room the night before so that when I got ready for my wedding the next day, I would have a fantastic back drop for the "getting ready" pictures. Plus it is so close to Old Town it would be perfect for my pre-pictures with my fiance. The girl at the front desk Kaitlan was not helpful at all. She asked me if I was getting married there, I explained no, but then I further explained why I was there and what I was looking for. She wouldn't even give me pricing information. She told me that I needed to call reservations. I explained that was fine but I was hoping to see a room before I made a reservation since I would possibly be paying $350/night for the suite. She was very flippant and finally gave me a business card with the person who "might" be able to help me. When I left, I called the reservation number from my cell to make further inquiries, and who answered the phone? Kaitlan. If she works in reservations why couldn't she give me the information I was asking for ie: prices for there suites, information about the NM resident discount etc., when I was standing right in front of her? Unbelievable. This is not the Holiday Inn Express and I don't plan on getting married again, so a little common courtesy and customer service is much appreciated. I highly doubt that I will be making my reservations for my wedding here or at any other hotel owned by this company.
