I've lost count of the number of times I've gone to this brewery. This is one of my favorite places when I just need to get out and hang out with friends and have some of my favorite beers. Come in, pay your money and get beer tickets plus glass mug and taste away. In addition to the beers on tap they still also have tours of the brewery itself where you can see just how much work goes into making beer, especially at this level. They have a tasting room where you can hang but it can get a bit noisy in there so you can also hang out back. Be prepared for a line on certain days because they have gotten that popular and gone are the days of just showing up and not having to queue up less than ten people deep.

I took my boyfriends parents to Hops and Grain Brewery on their visit to Austin. The tasting room and tour are a great place to bring visitors to get the funky, East Austin vibe. At the bar you buy a pint glass that comes with drinking tickets. The glass is $10 and comes with 4 full glasses. You can try their three main beers and then they offer 2 small batch beers to test new creations. The tasting room has picnic table seating and tons of games. It was a little loud for our parents, but a really cool place to hang out with friends. We took the 5pm tour and it was so entertaining. The beer was great, the atmosphere was fun, and I will definitely be back with future Austin visitors.

One of the best brewery tours I have ever been on. It is very casual which really reflects the feel of the entire location. You get a real look at the passion that goes into their beer and it was appreciated. The tasting room is a great place to spend an afternoon. You buy a tasting glass and drink tickets which give you an opportunity to taste all of their creations. The tasting room can get pretty loud but it is really because everyone is satisfied with the incredible beer.

Hops and Grain is a fun brewery to visit! You can buy a cool pint glass for $10, then get 3 pours of whatever they have on tap that day. They typically have nice variety of beers which have always been very good. It's fun to try their small batches/experimental beers that you can't try anywhere else. They do tours which tell about their brewery and what they do there. They also make and sell dog treats with the spent grains left over from brewing. Our dog loves them! This is a great brewery to check out!

Excellent tasting room with friendly knowledgeable staff. You can play some classic board games at the benches and hangout. You can take the tour. Most of all you can try their flavorful beers. They also have some special brews only available at the taproom to try. It can be hard to find in the warehouse district. Drive behind the building where Google Maps takes you and you will see the sign. Good stuff.

Awesome brewery experience! Nice sized drinking area and board games! You pay $10 for a glass and get 6 tastings - very generous with their tastings I might add (had a DD with ya....). the glasses especially are really interesting and unique. Tip - there is no good signage for this place but it's there! if you drive around the right side of Mettle, you'll see an open garage area with barrels and other brewing things inside. You'll enter through the blue door to the right of this garage area.

I LOVE Hops and Grain. For only ten bucks you get an awesome keepsake glass and while you're visiting you get six half pours in said glass. PRO TIP go on one of Bob's tours. He is an amazing dude that knows a crap ton about beer.

I loved this place. Awesome and knowledgeable employees who want to make sure you are enjoying yourself. As a beer lover this was like Wonka's candy factory! Their beer is super tasty! They also have sweet Kanye artwork and board games, what more could you ask for!?
