This is Muhammad Hani al-Kasba, a #Palestinian teenager who was hurling rocks at an #IDF vehicle. When he ignored warning shots and continued his violent attack, he was subsequently shot and killed by the soldiers in that vehicle.
However, the picture that the New York Times chose to accompany the story is of his weeping family members. In the headline, he is identified just as a “#teenager.” Clearly anyone who reads the headline about a Palestinian “teenager” who was shot to death by Israeli soldiers and then sees a picture of his #family, crying at his funeral, is going to feel a certain amount of sympathy. The article does more to mislead than to report factually.

It would not have been difficult for the New York Times to have found a picture that showed the true nature of this man (as we did). Readers would have certainly formed a different impression of the incident in question if they had been shown this picture.

Another misleading, shockingly biased headline from The New York Times. Would it be too much to ask to include information on why Israeli police officers killed two Palestinian men? Maybe mention the fact that the men attacked the officers with knives?

NBC's Brian Williams interviewed Sherri and Seth Mandell, parents of Kobe, a 13 year-old boy who was murdered by Palestinian terrorists. The result? Once again, the demonization of settlers.
