I went in to Bellevue Honda in search of a used car. Before coming to Bellevue Honda I had been to other dealerships and had very unpleasant experiences with the negotiation processes and other aspects, it had left me with a very negative view of car sale people. My experience at Bellevue Honda was totally polar opposite of those other places. From the get-go Tom was incredibly personable and very patient and helpful throughout the buying process. The most important part to me was the full disclosure about the condition of the car. They inspect every used vehicle that comes in and includes an estimate on any work that needs to be done. I would highly recommend shopping with Bellevue Honda, and ask for Tom Kim!

I had an awesome experience at Bellevue Honda! Brittney McCarther was incredibly easy to work with from the moment I needed help looking on their website to buying a car at their dealership. I was scared to buy my first car because I did not want someone try to scam me or play games with me, I just wanted to drive the car I was interested in and then decide if I was ready to buy. Brittney allowed me time to think it over and was extremely helpful. She made the process so quick and simple! Because of Brittney, I had a great car buying experience at Bellevue Honda!

(NOTE: I originally rated my experience with Honda of Bellevue ONE star. They are currently working on a resolution - I am holding off further review until then. See bottom for update.) We ended up badly disappointed after dropping my car off for airbag recall work recently. After three weeks of waiting for parts, we took my early 00's CR-V in at the appointed time. No one greeted us upon arrival, and it took several minutes of standing at the reception desks with no fewer than five employees present (and only one other client) before anyone paid attention. All recall correspondence indicated that the work would take less than two hours (which seems to hold true at other dealerships). I was told to leave the car for a MINUMUM of five hours. Having a baby in tow and a 45-minute drive home I asked if any less would do, and was given promises of a call when work was complete. I mentioned that since it had been a while since my car had been to a dealer, I would like information on the next periodic service, and feedback from the "courtesy multi-point inspection." After my car had been in for nearly four hours, I inquired about the status to see whether to drive home with a tired baby or wait just a while longer to conveniently pick up my car. I was told that the work would take until the end of the day. The appointed finishing time came and went, and no phone call from the dealer. Almost an hour later a call came from the service rep (quite obviously from his personal cell): "I'm not sure if I called you, but your car is ready." Did he forget? Seven hours into the whole recall work, and back at the dealership, I finally received the paperwork for my car. It stated the recall work completed, and that the multi-point inspection was done. I signed the paper, and then asked if anything was found on the inspection. The rep looked up the mechanic's report, and was embarrassed to admit that it wasn't completed. The mechanic had only looked to see if the lights worked - not brakes, fluids, shocks, battery, or anything else more essential that should have been checked! The rep said that "since it was only recall work the mechanic didn't care about the rest". What? What else did he not care about? I was told to call the next day and speak with the rep who received the vehicle. Nothing remedial was offered. No apologies. The service center showed such poor customer service and lack of safety detail that I will never allow my car back in their hands again. I now have serious doubts about the quality of the airbag recall work after seeing the general attitude around the department. Interestingly enough I'd had a very bad experience with the sales department years earlier when shopping for my CR-V, but wanted to give the service department the benefit of the doubt. I won't be making the same mistake again - instead, I will go back to Honda of Olympia knowing well that the drive won't be a waste of my time. The one star is for the free rental - and not for anything else. *************** A day after I sent a copy of this review to the service manager, he called and left a message. Three days later, we had the opportunity to talk after some phone tag. He seemed constructive and welcomed the comments, and arranged for an appointment the following week in order to complete the inspection. I am holding off further review until then.

I always take my cars at Honda Auto center of Bellevue. My car's wheel alignment went wrong, but they should have caught this by inspecting tires at the time of service. As a result both rear tires warn off quickly. One day I had flat tire from a nail. I took the car for tire repair to three tire stores but all of them told me that it is not repairable as the tires warn off. I had to change all four tires due to the problem. I could have use all the tires for another 20K-30K miles if Honda service center's technician carefully inspect the tires at the time of service. When I told them about negligence during the service they denied and told me that they were correct. I have another bad experience with this service center. Once I had to change a parts but technician did not install the parts correctly. I had to bring the car again to fix that. so my conclusion about Honda auto Center of Bellevue are 1. Some of the technicians are not skilled. 2. Sometimes they do not the job done meticulously. 3. Probably they are not concern about customer loyalty as they might have lots of customers. 4. They are not COSTCO participating dealer. So you will not get 15% off for service and parts if you are COSTCO member.

In general buying a used car can be a frustrating experience. However I had a very positive experience with Tom Kim at Bellevue Honda. There was a negotiation process, but it was gentlemanly. Tom was helpful and willing to find a middle ground in the process. The car was well inspected by Bellevue Honda (and was also certified as being in excellent condition by the 3rd party I got it checked from). I would highly recommend Tom if you go into this shop!

One of, if not THE best car buying experience from a dealer in my life. Tom Kim stayed way past closing hour to help me get a great discount. Tom was approachable, patient, with no pressure whatsoever. After the paperwork, it was 10pm and he still took the time to properly deliver the car to me. 2 weeks later, I learned that the dealer made a mistake with the temporary car registration, so Tom made the effort to deliver the actual license plates early so I did not have to make two trips. If you want to buy a honda, and you want to experience the meaning of "above and beyond the call of duty", come to honda bellevue and ask for Tom Kim.
