Asking our followers:

Any Holo beer tracking apps out there that do the following:

1) Allow you to rate brews (star rating preferred)
2) Allow you to add your own beers (not just reliant upon a database)
3) Allow attachments (specifically pictures for tracking labels)
4) Have a notes section (or customizable dropdown)
5) Have a database search for beers

Optional:
- Set "location" field
- Ability to sync with Evernote/GDrive/Dropbox

Any suggestions would be great! And we've tried several already but haven't found an app that looks great and has the above functionality.

+Android niceties Summed this article up quite well.

Terrible advice for Android developers/designers, and disappointing to see from a site that I typically respect and follow.

The worst article I've read on #AndroidDesign  in a long time. I thought people were starting to get it. There have actually been decent articles written on Fast Company about Android Design. Total disappointment.

The author has not understood the guidelines or the platform.

Some of Google's examples are misleading to new app developers leading to awful UX. Here are four salient examplesplus four unwritten rules you should...

That article is a joke. There are reasons behind the different guidelines and options!

Action bar items have names by pressing and holding to see a toast with the name. That was one of the first things I discovered about Android and was very impressed by!

A look at the latest Android apps that follow the Android 'Holo' compatibility standard and design guidelines.
Introduction
Holo Everywhere was a blog post that was published on the Android Developers Blog outlining the new design guidelines for the Android OS.  The post details the new mentality toward Android application design that Google would like Android developers to use.

Here is a link to the complete blog post entry:

http://android-developers.blogspot.com/2012/01/holo-everywhere.html

In addition, the Android team created a website dedicated to Android Design, and the specific guidelines for which developers should try to adhere.

http://developer.android.com/design/index.html

This website looks at the applications that adhere to these guidelines, and focuses on apps that exemplify the vision of the "Holo Everywhere" mentality.
