Ever heard someone say: “Buy Agave Nectar over honey because it’s much healthier! It’s a natural sweetener.” I so bought into this claim, but the truth of the matter is that it couldn’t be further from the truth. Here are a list of 7 things that are extrememly important (and true!) to know about ‪#‎sugar‬.
It's very important to know The Deadly Truth About Sugar because sugar can have serious ramifications in your body.

The number one question that people asked me (and I am asked on a daily basis) is “How do I be a friend to someone with Cancer?” In light of this question and all of the new blog readers, I thought I would re-post an oldie but goodie: “Being a friend to someone with cancer.”

I have been receiving many questions about how (and which!) wigs to buy during FBC ‪#‎chemotherapy‬... so I thought I'd share a post that I wrote a few years ago about my experience with wigs. I hope that this helps! Do you have any tips or helpful hints that you would like to share?
Hollye Jacobs, RN and breast cancer survivor shares her personal insights into buying out chemo wigs. Here she provides simple steps for the process.

I am oh-so-very excited about the recent launch of the new Spanish-language version of the companion guide, “Rayo de esperanza: Manual de apoyo para enfrentar el cancer de seno.” We know that there is real need for this type of resource in the Latina community, especially since there are no other resources like it in existance! ‪#‎RayodeEsperanza‬ ‪#‎TheSilverLining‬

The free companion guide is available for download or for pick up at participating distribution centers and select Allstate agencies nationwide. Download or find the nearest participating distribution center at Allstate.com/SilverLining.

Sunday kicked off National Women’s Health Week. This is a big and wonderful opportunity to empower women to make health a priority (and what’s better than that?). Here are a few tips and suggestions on how to make your health a priority this week.

What do you think?  Have you had it done?  Have you contemplated it?  I’d love to hear about your experience.
Breast cancer tattoo removal is one aspect of life after cancer, something that I think about regularly.

Recently, I came across an enlightening article in the The New York Times about a study identifying the doubt that can be raised by breast biopsies. Ugh. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but this article is truly enlightening and a must read!
Breast Biopsies Can Leave Room for Doubt About Cancer and therefore, getting a second opinion is extremely important.

I’ve heard blood test results referred to as “alphabet soup.” Ha! Ha! Not too far off. It’s important, however, to understand your blood results (at least at the basic level). Knowing how to read a blood panel is an empowering ‪#‎SilverLining‬ – after all, the status of YOUR health is what is being evaluated.
