Go fast, very fast. The power boats are back in Key West. There's a lot of crazy racing going on. http://ow.ly/oIE9305Vvl6

Fall in Key West? Sure, we have fall. Temps in the low 80s, zip humidity and a great breeze. We skipped the weekend chores and took our bikes out today. Enjoy the vid -- and come on down for a visit. Sure beats wondering if you'll need snow shovels. http://ow.ly/W0iK305qSHk

The all-grown-up Florida Keys: "That night—my first in the islands—was classic Florida Keys: carefree, steamy, organic, a little rough and a little refined. Something about the swaying palms and the tropical air, maybe even the tug of the Atlantic tide on one side and the Gulf ’s on the other, had a way of quieting your usual concerns about what might happen next."

Key West Fall brings mild temperatures, clear skies and light breezes. All perfect for a walk along the Atlantic to the Knight Street Pier. http://ow.ly/5ptt3057OdC

Since we've visited a handful of these beaches in the summer and the fall, we'd agree: They are great when the crowds are gone and the temperatures are down. Just like around these island parts. But, when it's winter? Well, there's only one place to be. Key West.

Seven Mile Bridge: No matter how many times we cross it, we, too, feel "positively giddy" at the surrounding waters and stunning architecture. And now it's ranked as one of the world's most beautiful. No argument here. http://ow.ly/BBQ13057GGI

Fall has arrived in Key West. Humidity gone. Temps in the LOW 80s. Thinking about where we stashed our long pants, socks and fleece pullovers. 'Cuz ya know, when that thermometer drops into the 70s, we're gonna need some warm clothes. Come on down and see what we mean.

Safe Harbor Key West: It's a beautiful day here on the island. and we're grateful to all our friends and family who are concerned. Key West will be OK. Because the island is outside Hurricane Matthew's cone, we are the designated safe harbor. Military and cruise ships from all over headed here to ride out the storm. But this is a mega storm, one unlike anything in decades so our neighbors to the north and east are in danger today. Keep them in your thoughts -- and come on down if you need a safe harbor from the storm.

The Keys likely will escape most of Hurricane Matthew, but we are watching closely as our Caribbean neighbors bear the brunt of the story. http://ow.ly/uCqH304RkQH

We hear there's another snowstorm up North. Aren't you ready for some sun, sand, surf and fun? Flip flops instead of boots? How about a sunset sail instead of a snow shovel? Historic Key West Vacation Rentals has just the place to hang your sun hat.
