I just watched an interesting perspective from an adult with ADHD .  He made some good points about teachers and schools

I agree with you.  I think part of the problem stems from the over prescription of medication (for kids who aren't ADHD) and the media.  What other medication would you stop on weekends and vacations?  I agree high school students will always fight medication.  In many ways ADHD is a long term "chronic" condition that you need to come to terms with and being different is the last thing an adolescent wants.  My son struggled all the way through high school.  Helping teachers understand that "trying harder" and the inevitable "if only he'd apply himself he'd be successful.." is so important.  I'd love to create a "Fat City" example for ADHD to help teachers and parents better understand what they go through.  I've met so many CEOs that are definitely ADHD.  It does seem women (first mom, then wife and assistant) keep them organized :)

General Discussion  -
I just wanted to introduce myself to this community. I recently retired from a large school district in Texas as the Team leader For our Assistive technology Team. Currently I am working as a consultant providing trainings in the area of AT for people with High Incidence Disabilities. I am currently part of the Chromebook accessibility testing group.

Dos anyone know how I could allow participants to complete a Google Form offline?  I know I could have them coomplete the same information on a Google Spreadsheet offline but I think it will be easier if they could just access the form offline.  I would have an Ipad and a Chrome book for them to enter their information.  Thanks

Here is a Ted Talk from a young adult with ADHD.  I think we need to consider some of his suggestions when planning instruction .  Technology could possible be a tool for some of our students.  Thanks to Edudemic for the link

Does anyone know how I can take my list of apps from itunes and print it to an Excel doc or a Google Doc?
Craig Nansen's profile photo
The best I can do is print the list to a PDF and then copy and paste from there to a Google Doc or other word processor or spreadsheet.

Select all the Apps or select a group of Apps.
Select Print
Select Song List
Print to a PDF

Martin,I started playing with the extension this weekend writing email using Gmail.  The problem I had was if I started in the subject bar, I couldn't move and type in the message window using the text to speech and the word prediction.

Thank you Hindie.

You can double click to enter a word.
Single clicking on the word displays a definition.
Clicking in the 'insert' icon to the left of the predicted word should insert it with a single click.

We will look at this again to see if we can make it easier.

We need to change the UI so that the prediction window appears on top, and remembers its position, and if you had it switched on the last time you were writing.

Thank you for this feedback. It is really helpful.

We had a discussion today at work whether or not we should emphasize AT or technology supports for diverse learners...or both...when preparing future teachers. My thought is both because both are important...thoughts?
