Just a few tips to enjoy the 4th AND stay safe: *Stay hydrated (water is best) *Don't get overheated -look for shade and cool compresses *Keep fire safety a priority - BBQ's and campfires are a big part of July 4th - douse all fires *Pay close attention to firework safety *Be careful with your food, keep foods on ice till use - food poisoning can ruin your BBQ in no time. Now get outdoors and enjoy!

Just heard about a new law they want to pass that will require applicants for public assistance to get a urine test to test for drug use before being approved for assistance. They want to call it URINE OR YOU'RE OUT. Teehee

WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 PM CST TUESDAY for BEXAR CNTY, TX The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for freezing rain and sleet, which is in effect from midnight tonight to 6 PM CST Tuesday. Significant icing possible. The ice will result in dangerous travel conditions for late Monday night through the day on Tuesday. Total ice accumulations of up around one tenth of an inch are expected with isolated totals up to one quarter inch. In addition to the wintry precipitation and the impacts of accumulating freezing rain, sleet, and snow, the temperatures will be very cold. Temperatures will drop into the upper 20s by Tuesday afternoon and with strong north winds windchill values could drop into the teens. Overnight Tuesday into Wednesday as temperatures continue to drop some single digit windchill values will be possible in the Hill Country. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Winter Storm Warning for sleet means that a winter storm system is impacting the area with significant amounts of sleet and freezing rain. Travel is likely to be severely impacted.
