We are proud to announce that we are bringing on Nate Sampson, former brewmaster for Track Town Ales (AKA Rogue Ales Public House) in Eugene Oregon, as our Head Brewer at the new location in North Park.

We've got Swieners coming to the brewery today to serve up some Swiss Hot Dogs. If you've never had one, give it a try. The cheese is insane!

Plus we have a fresh batch of Aurum Belgian Gold up.

Two weeks ago we poured the slab at Hess Brewing. We brought out a GoPro and shot about 3.4 hours of the pour, here in timelapse. Enjoy!

The service was great. We went there are little early for a weekend, but there were still other groups in the brewhouse. They were really professional. The processing containers are housed in the front and you can see that they're really well maintained. They also have a couple dart boards and different board games you can use while enjoying a beer. I tried all of them in a flight and I couldn't find one that was repulsive. Get their IPA and stout varieties. I ordered full size ones and they were pretty good.

A great brewery where all the beers have a latinized twist to the name. They have a nice variety of types of beers ranging from kölsch to IPA to stout. The location is very open as one can enter and exit through both sides of the building and it has a very modern atmosphere to it. There are board games to keep you busy and free snacks while enjoying your beer. The staff member that helped me was extremely friendly and used my first name to really drive home the personable feel. I was very impressed with my visit and would definitely visit again.

Fun tasting room. It doesn't have all the frills of some other SD tasting rooms, but as long as your priorities are beer focused this is a great spot. The prices are more than reasonable; quite cheap for some of their offerings, and the beer is top notch. Most of the seats are communal and they are dog friendly. A good spot to grab a beer before dinner in North Park.

This place was really cool! Good beer and cool atmosphere. And of course, always a plus when dogs are welcome. If you buy a flight, it comes with a free glass and there are like 6 different kinds that are all really cool!

This place has it all. Good tasting beer, games, and food trucks. All the essentials for having a good time. Their entrance is impressive as well and you can see down their entire brewing operation. Plus if you come while they are brewing you can experience (i.e., smell) the process. Walking distance from other pubs/breweries in North Park so you can make a beer crawl/tour and stop by Hess. Tip: They have a flight for 415 and you get 5 samplings. Plus they also have free snacks - chips and pretzels!

I went here recently for a friend's birthday on a Saturday night! I was pretty lucky because it was the same night a dog-friendly fundraiser event was happening and I got to pet so many cute dogs. Now onto the brewery.. The brewery has a really cool atmosphere because you see all the equipment right as you walk up to the front of the place: lots of brewering cannisters from top to bottom that are shiny silver. With the way the white lights have this place looking-it feels like you are walking into a factory and seeing the behind the scenes of beer-making. The counter is fairly accessible on a weekend and the drinks are set up in a way so that you know what you're going to get before you order: the drinks are set up by name, style, and taste. I got the Secundus beer which was supposed to taste like toffee so I expected it to be on the sweeter side. However, that was not so much the case considering it was a really dark beer but I enjoyed it. They have a games area where you can pick out board games like Jenga amongst others. However, some of the games are in disarray and you might not find a complete set of anything to play with your friends so you do makeshift versions of whatever you're playing. I would come back to this place for future events because of the reasonable pricing of beers, the atmosphere, and the games.

Shiny and new! Very cool atmosphere, great beer! Really enjoyed the Jucundus honey wheat. They allow dogs and outside food. They do not serve food so be prepared! There are plenty of food options in the area though. They are all about putting forth a quality product, no frills.
