They have cheapened the breakfast buffet with artificial tasting foods. The rooms are dingy but the worst part is the unwashed floors. I complained several times during my stay. Could not walk on those floors without shoes. Housekeeping is awful. Place is a disgrace.

Great food and friendly service. Little expensive but worth it. Stopped there while going to sights and sounds

Real homestyle buffet with all the trimmings, side dishes and great desserts! Love the chocolate fountain and the grill where you get to order what you want. For the price, it may be somewhat more than other places, but the quality of the food is a cut above.

Totally disappointed! Ate there about 10 years ago and it was great and looked forward to the return trip, but would consider the Old Country Buffet a much better choice. Little to nothing is the way of Pa. Dutch foods on the buffet. Do yourself a favor and find another restaurant, don't waste your cash on the overpriced fast food served there.

We arrived and my wife told me "we are in that red building, over there.." i didn't get out of the car, i sent her in to scout the place because i was sure we would be hunting for a new hotel. Luckily, she came back and said the room was amazing despite its outside appearance. And it was!! Then without any other plans for dinner, decided to try the hotel restaurant for dinner. I am happy, thrilled, fat, to say that it was one of the best restaurant i have EVER been to!! I am a big dude .. big enough that you can trust i have been to my share of places to eat. especially buffets!! This place is hands down, the single best place i have ever eaten. Ever. Period!! Nothing in particular, in fact it was everything. Every single thing was amazing! Including the breakfast (free) the next day!!! If i could recommend one single item, it would be the Baked French Toast for breakfast. It is literally amazing. Enjoy, we did. PS, my reason for not 5stars is because there was no bar, or easy way to get alcohol. Other than that, 100% satisfied.

We have stayed at the Hershey Farm Inn (in the main hotel building) on many occasions and customarily have been pretty happy with our accommodations. However, when we were there in November 2012, our king-sized bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Upon checking out and mentioning how unhappy we were with the bed, we were advised that the Carriage House and Farm House units were going to be "completely renovated" during the Spring of 2013 and would all be getting new beds. So, when we booked our latest trip (June 14-16, 2013), we opted to stay in the Carriage House and brought another couple with us (Rooms 400 and 430). To say our rooms were a disappointment is a huge understatement. Both rooms were exceptionally dark during the day (due to insufficient lighting) and uncomfortably bright during the night (due to the spotlights in the parking lot and nothing on the lone window to darken the room except an inadequate mini-blind that let in light). The renovations did not appear to have been done by a professional. But worst of all, the "new" beds did not seem to be new at all! In fact, our king-sized bed was so uncomfortable (hard and lumpy) that I went out and bought a mattress topper at Bed, Bath & Beyond so I could get some sleep the second night! (The Inn didn't have any vacancies, so I couldn't try a different room.) The other couple had the same problems with lack of light/too much light that we did, but their bed seemed marginally better than ours. At $288 for two nights per room, we definitely felt cheated. On the positive side, the employees at the Hershey Farm Inn are all extremely gracious and helpful. The food at the breakfast smorgasbord hasn't changed in years and is still tasty, if predictable. (We ate elsewhere for dinner.) The flower shop never ceases to amaze and the gift shop and the nicely stocked boutique make for fun browsing. Overall, I would give the Carriage House a 2+ rating and would never, ever stay there again. We do have reservations to return to the Hershey Farm Inn in August 2013 and will be staying in the main hotel building. Hopefully we'll be more comfortable there. If not, we’ll be finding a new hotel for future visits.

Hershey Farm is kid friendly!
What are your kids most excited about when they visit Lancaster, PA? Maybe they can't wait for the rides and water play at Dutch Wonderland. Or they might be eager to ride an authentic Amish buggy, visit the Strasburg Railroad or watch a Sight and Sound show.
