a new blog that starts with a goodbye
This blog is going to be about our past, present, and future adventures. One such adventure recently came to an end: our life in Tokyo. Tokyo (東京) means eastern capital, but I have always flown west to get there from the United States. It has been my home for the last six years.

I will tell you what I would do #ifihadglass . I would use it with my ESL students, translating words for them. I would then dictate a paper on how  the new technology affected the students' learning and motivation.

I am pretty sure that my work blocks FB at certain times of day. No such trouble with G+ or mobile FB. Wish more people read this...

Earl Grey at breakfast makes me happy. I need to get some milk for it.

Great site for finding language partners and teachers.
italki is a language learning social network that connects students and language teachers. You can find language exchange partners, practice speaking a foreign language, ask questions, find free online language resources, and get help from an international community of language learners.

I feel like there is something I should be doing, but am not. It is the same feeling that I get whilst watching television. Thinking of applying to doctoral study sooner rather than later.

Finding the right program is taking a lot more work than I had thought it would.

Sounds too good to be true.

We think technology should work for you—to be there when you need it and get out of your way when you don’t.

A group of us from Google[x] started Project Glass to build this kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment. We’re sharing this information now because we want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input. So we took a few design photos to show what this technology could look like and created a video to demonstrate what it might enable you to do.

Please follow along as we share some of our ideas and stories. We’d love to hear yours, too. What would you like to see from Project Glass?

Introduction
I am involved in numerous projects that are going to revolutionize the way we think of education.
  • Two books, one of which is a digital textbook.
  • One website, primarily to bring myself up to speed in HTML5 and other web standards.
  • One idea, which has the potential to change the world of education as we know it.
