It is kind of funny that some Semantic Web advocates argue extremely fiercely against my proposal for adding lightweight property-value patterns to schema.org (see https://www.w3.org/wiki/WebSchemas/PropertyValuePairs) onthe W3C vocabs mailing list, as if adding one class and three properties to schema.org would put the whole Semantic Web vision at risk. C'mon guys, what are you afraid of? A little semantics goes a long way, and a lot of data with a little structure is better than a little data with a lot of structure.
