I went to Northern Norway in March to see Northern Lights. Besides the lights, we also saw the very beautiful landscape around there. Here's the best-of selection of my pictures. :)

Happy new year, everyone!

While the last year was running out, I made this:
http://schrecklich.de/?p=291
I recently did another (rather quick) body painting. This time, it was not that complicated, and it turned our rather well. Unfortunately, I don't have any making-of pictures, so if you click 'more', you'll just see a few more shots from other perspectives. Meanwhile, the baby was born.

So I finally saw Munich's Gasteig (Philharmonie) from the inside. Totally worth it. #videogames

+Tobias Weyand I honestly did not know about them until I saw a poster somewhere in town. Then I found out they are touring for 14 years now. How could I miss that? :)

My latest body painting featuring childhood memories (if you grew up in Germany):
http://schrecklich.de/?p=296
My latest body painting, which I did in Cologne during my Xmas travels to my home town, does actually have a reference to this city. The city is the location of the WDR (“Westdeutscher Rundfunk”) which is the regional (state-funded) TV station. It has a famous TV show for kids called “Sendung ...

Lina is super reliable and my cats love her! I really like that I can go on vacation and fully trust her to take care of my cats.

The X-Club is a very nice, alternative club in Munich, Schwabing. They play mostly rock (at least whenever I was there). Decoration is vintage/rock-cafe style. I did not try the food, but the drinks are fine. On a crowded night (which is often), you might need to wait to get a drink though. The entrance to the place is kind of hidden, not even a sign above the door. I find the club a welcome alternative to all the usual clubs in Munich.

I had pasta with lamb, it was delicious and worth the price (~12 EUR). Decor reminds a little of the 70ies, but not annoyingly much. I have nothing to complain about the service, the waiter was quick and friendly. No complaints about this restaurant!

Medieval restaurant with awesome food. The ambient is very much in the spirit of the Middle Ages, including the attire of the staff. The food is excellent and always enough to be full afterwards. The place is usually crowded, so be sure to make a reservation (at least on the weekends). Be aware: the name of the place derives from a medieval torture device, which is used on people who come to the restaurant on their birthday. ;)
