Saturday, I cross into a new dimension: I turn 30 years old. And I’m really quite perplexed that I arrived at this age. I still feel like I’m around 17 years old. Sometimes I look in the mirror and am honestly shocked to see a wrinkle that I could have sworn wasn’t there yesterday. I …

You guys, Heidelberg on New Year’s Eve is insane. Imagine a country, a beautiful, ornate country. Filled with castles, palaces, ancient churches, and also, rules. Germany is one thing: very orderly. Except for one night: New Year’s Eve. You know the movie The Purge? Imagine that but for fireworks. People of all ages pour out …

Oh 2016, you crazy little year. Both personally and not personally, this year was intense. I guess the word to describe this year was “shocking.” Things kept happening that I just didn’t think were possible (moving abroad, Trump getting elected) definitely did. But to kick off my recaps, I’m going to start with reading. I …

If you want some of the best Christmas lights, decor, spirit, and all out cheer, you need to go to London during Christmas time. I walked around the city for 4 and a half days with my mouth open. I’ll be doing a whole post on what we saw and did (we packed in so …

This year has been insane. If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you KNOW I’m a sucker for recap posts. I love reflecting on the year and reminiscing. This post has a little bit of a different focus. This is my first full calendar year that I worked for myself. Full disclosure: it …

My first Christmas abroad. And also, my first Christmas away from my family. My first Christmas without my Mom and Dad, ever. My first Christmas without my sisters since 1994 (the year they were born). My first Christmas not attending/ kind of helping to host the best Christmas party in the whole entire world- my …

This year I stepped up my game photos wise. At the beginning of January (last year) I took a full course on photography, I learned photoshop, and most of Lightroom, and I tried to be more thought out when snapping pictures. If I compare myself from a few years ago, or even last year, I …

Okay, you want to start a blog. But you KNOW there is tons of, well, crap out there that doesn’t really help you go from blank slate to a real, profitable, thriving blog. There are lots of posts on how to blog, strategies and tips on growing your following, and guides on blogging. But what …

You guys this year was a roller coaster. The kind with the loop-di-loops. There were moments of intense, “OH MY LANTA this is amazing!” and also terrible sadness. But that’s life. If you would have told me 10 years, or even 5 years ago, that I’d be living in Germany with two dogs and a …

Cheerio from London! Michael and I decided very last minute (on Sunday!) that we needed to head to London town to experience some Christmas cheer (and really I was stalking Instagram to see the buildings lit up and I couldn’t take it anymore. I’ve been fortunate enough to go many times, but never during the …

Do you ever feel like you’re just running in circles? You keep trying to figure out what works for seemingly everyone else, but you can’t figure it out for yourself. This was me on Instagram. I was trying to figure out why my account wouldn’t budge! I was working in social media and marketing and …

I was wrong about Instagram. There. I said it. A few years ago I thought I had it figured out. I thought I should do it like everyone else. I listened to the gurus. I posted pictures of my lattes on a white foam board (not joking). And my Instagram barely budged. DUH HELENE! But …

I want to start out by saying that I don't often write reviews. But this seemed utterly necessary. I went to the Hard Rock Cafe to see a girl perform the other night. I hadn't been to the Hard Rock in at least 10 years and was interested to see the differences. The service was downright deplorable. A flippant waitress seemed to personally victimized that we asked for drinks. I ordered some blue concussion that wasn't filled to the top, and I asked if a little Hard Rock stick would be put in it. (I write a local blog and thought it would make for a nice picture.) But the drink was disgusting and I couldn't take a decent photo the way it was sloppily put together. We ordered the appetizer platter for our 8 friends. It came 45 minutes later while the artist performing was BLASTED into our ears. I should have brought ear plugs, but I though this was a restaurant after all. The appetizer was bland and chips were stale. I ordered the mac and cheese. Don't order the mac and cheese. Soggy, cold bread with pasta- Kraft could have done a better job. As a last ditch effort I ordered a wine. My mouth dropped when the waitress gave me a half glass of $8 wine. Everything was bad. The food, the music, the drinks, and all to the tune of too much money. Save yourself, don't go to the Hard Rock. I never will again.

Excellent product that I will recommend to everyone! Easy to use, no pain, and I have noticed my teeth are visibly whiter!

Absolutely gorgeous cabin with all the amenities you could want or need. A great place to relax or take an adventure. Close to trails for hiking, a beautiful scenery for fishing or canoeing and great local restaurants nearby. We plan to come at least every few months if not more often. The cabins are spotless and the prices are even better. Could not think of a better way to experience the outdoors!
