I never expected to see Darwin and Stephen Jay Gould referenced in an article about SEO, but the idea that schools of thought evolve in different directions in isolation certainly seems apt.

This is a pretty cool social media campaign giveaway from VW Netherlands. They are giving away a social media optimized retro VW. I want one. Alas one needs to have a Dutch drivers license to win.

More info at http://www.fanwagen.com and https://fanwagen.tollium.com/public/pdf/Manual_Beetle_Fanwagen.html. The first link takes you to the Facebook page where the promotion is being run. It requires you to login to their app, but also indicates that it won't share that with others. (I rather like that one can play with it w/o having it post to your wall.)

Here Harry Brignull points out some deceptive practices in Web design and messaging.

Do you need to add job postings to your company Web site? Last week a client said he was ready to start posting job openings on his site. In the past I've done this with WordPress custom page types and taxonomies, but this time I decided to see what existing tools might be available. That's when I found +Gary Pendergast 's Job Manager Plugin. So far I've only tested it with a few fake jobs, but so far it seems very easy to configure and plays quite nicely with my theme. It looks like it will be the perfect tool for this task.
