We had a chance to see this when we lived in Japan!

Yabusame is a kind of mounted archery in a Japanese way and she mounted on a small but strong horse, 'Dosanko'.:)

This is totally awesome!

It's Create the Future week on #makercamp ! Using some basic materials and software running on your computer, we're going to make a 3-dimensional virtual reality controller - yes really! We call this Weekend Project powered by +RadioShack the Touchless 3D Tracking Interface. Look for it immediately following today's field trip, see the project here: http://makezine.com/projects/a-touchless-3d-tracking-interface/ - and have a great weekend everyone! #RSLetsPlay

Even more impressive in slow motion!

Brilliant slow motion video of great physical tricks performed by Circus athletes! I love juggling bit, because it could be used to explain a number of Physics phenomena. For example, when juggling in the air a teacher could ask they students to describe the forces when the balls are in contact with the juggler's hands and when they are in the air. But when he bounces the balls we can describe the energy transfers and there are a few lovely shots of the balls getting squashed as they touch the floor.
The man on the ropes is also pretty impressive and a nice discussion about antagonistic muscles can be generated as learners watch the video. Another idea could be to mute the video and get learners to script their explanation to read out as they play the video.

Darren has been taking care of my hair since I moved to the area in 2006, and I was honored to move with him when he started Salon Darin. Services are top notch. Staff is exceedingly knowledgeable and friendly. A warm and welcoming environment from the moment you walk in the door. There is no better team to meet your hair care needs than Darren, Christine, Breanne, and Nicole!
