Time to start your week with a #MondayMiracle!
It was a match made in fiberglass. A case manager at veterinary prosthetic provider OrthoPets, Olivia Kong, felt a connection the moment she saw the body mold belonging to Daffodil the Chihuahua. “She was a tiny, tiny pup then. She looked like a little potato,” Kong tells Dogster from her home in Denver, Colorado. A …

Happy Father's Day!!! #FathersDay #cats
Father’s Day is Sunday, and my kitty girls — Ghost Cat and Specter — have several ideas about what they should get their human dad. Unfortunately for them, my feline duo does not get an allowance (they would just blow it all on Costco-size cans of tuna), and even if they did, they wouldn’t be …

My latest piece: #EndPetCancer #CatCancer
Katherine Carter literally can’t remember life without her cat, Tony. Unfortunately, things got a little too real for Tony when he was diagnosed with a rare form of feline cancer.

Monday Miracle time!
For years she lived the dark, but these days Lucy the Rescue Cavalier is thriving in the spotlight and making sure folks in the UK — and around the world — can’t ignore how puppies end up in pet store windows. “I didn’t really know anything about puppy farming before,” Lucy’s human, Lisa Garner, tells Dogster …

My latest #MondayMiracle, just in time for July 4th!
The 4th of July is a time for families to gather for backyard cookouts and fireworks, but for some military families, a four-legged loved one is missing from the celebration. It’s a feeling Sam and Jessica Wettstein know well. When the newlyweds were reunited after Sam’s second deployment as a U.S. Marine, Jessica was thrilled to …

New +Dogster#MondayMiracle! And she's Canadian too! #puggle #rescuedog #puppymill #tripod
The trap was probably set for a coyote, but the paw it captured didn’t belong to one. A shared genus was about all the prisoner had in common with the snare’s intended target. Unlike the coyotes and other animals who called the Canadian woods home, Panda — a 4-year-old Puggle–French Bulldog mix — wasn’t used to …

A cancer success story!
When Stephanie Wallace brought home a French Bulldog puppy in 2010, she found the kind of love we would all wish to have in our lives — unconditional and full of joy. Wallace doted on her beautiful pup, Maia, who grew into a happy, healthy adult. The first five years of Maia’s life were unmarked …

I've been super impressed by Diva's and Shelby in particular. She always does a great job cleaning up my undercut style pixie cut. She talked to me about the possible consequences of my intense at-home bleaching habit without talking down to me (trust me, I already knew it was horrible) and during my last visit she suggested a mask treatment that left my fried, white-blonde hair feeling silky instead of crispy. I'm currently suffering from a combination of postpartum hair loss and terrible hair choices (new baby always cries when I shower so in a moment of sleep deprivation just gave myself a crew cut with the dog's clippers). As soon as I have enough hair to work with I'll be heading back to Diva's for a proper hair cut and hopefully a less damaging approach to blondness.
