This. I totally agree with this video. Especially the part about live blogging a birth. No. Just no. There are times when having pictures and videos of an experience are great...and then there are times when a person should just experience the moment, be in it, and not worry about having it documented.
Certainly people need to pay more attention to their lives. I will play the devil's advocate a bit though and say that having a nice phone always available in the form of your phone is so amazing. I mean, I have maybe two dozen pictures from high school and college because it just was a time where cell phones were just starting out, they didn't do anything really, and they certainly weren't mini computers with awesome cameras! :) Not that I probably want too much documentation of myself at that time... but it is a really cool thing to have that option.

This book didn't necessarily do it for me, but I know lots of other readers will enjoy it. Check out my review of CHASING THE SUN by Natalia Sylvester.

Check out Tim Anderson's SWEET TOOTH, a great memoir about growing up gay and diabetic in North Carolina in the 80s and early 90s. Such a fun read!
