I'm a writer, a mom, a wife and a homesteader. I do what I can to end slavery and fight for justice. I love my family, my church and my animals. My husband knows me well enough to be terrified when I begin a sentence with, "You know, I bet we could..."
My family lives on about 8 acres nestled in the woods on the outskirts of the Missouri Ozarks, where we're doing our best to live in a more sustainable way. It's been a difficult and crazy ride at times, but it's a life that brings more joy than we ever could have imagined. In my mind, everyone should know the happiness that comes with sitting in a swing watching your chickens and goats forage while the sun sinks over the treetops.
Raising kids and animals takes up most of my time. I also give talks at schools, churches and women's groups (really anywhere I can) to raise awareness about human trafficking and to help others on their road to publication.
