When I travel to Groote Eylandt, luggage restrictions mean I'm usually only armed with my iPhone. For the latest trip, I had the opportunity to take my camera with me, and spent a couple of mornings down on the beach as the sun rose behind me. One eye on the exposure, one on the water. No crocodiles this time, but I did see one black-tipped reef shark swimming around in the shallows.

I went to Japan recently. I forgot to share the photo posts on G+. Here they are, all collected under a nice category so you can see them all at once.

Today was mostly spent around Cradle Mountain. Love that place.
Tasmania Day 2 – Cradle Mountain. I hadn't planned to come to Cradle Mountain, but when I got up this morning, I had an urge. So, that's where I went, right after a brief stroll amongst the pe...

Last night I shot a gig by ex-Jurassic5 and Ozomatli rapper Charli 2na. They're not the kind of shots the publication would be looking for, but I kinda like these few low key B&Ws that I made.

Martina & Luke's wedding. Shot at Sacred Heart Church, Redhead Beach and the Fernleigh Tunnel in Newcastle last weekend.
After a very long week of travel, I was lucky enough to make it back to my hometown of  Newcastle to attend and shoot the wedding of Luke and Martina.

So very tired.
Most of the time, this real-job-with-a-bit-of-photography-on-the-side caper is just fine. But right now, I'm just about ready to drop. Over the last five days (during which I just happen to be doing my bosses job at work), I have also shot BigSound Live, a 2-night music festival in Brisbane, ...

I'm in Tasmania. I took a couple of photos.
I'm in northern Tasmania this week. I haven't had a lot of time to do any shooting, but managed to get up to Low Head, on the coast of Bass Strait, for a while before the sun went down this evening. IMG_8916 · IMG_8913. Posted in Landscape, Seascape, Travel | 0 Comments ...

Just a few photos today
Tasmania Day 4 – Coles Bay. Not many photos today. I spent the morning at the excellent Museum of Old and New Art (MONA). What a fantastic gallery, and the story behind its creation is fascinating. Af...

The adventure begins. Already feels good to be shooting nature again.
Tasmania Day 1 – Launceston & Tamar Wetlands. I arrived in Launceston at around 1pm, and after sorting out van hire, food, and a few forgotten items, I headed to Launceston City Park to view the m...
