You don’t hear a psychiatrist asking how much light you get… It affects so much of our physiology, psychology, and mood. But we take it for granted.

Satchin Panda in The Economist

Introducing +SunSprite Wearable Light Tracker:

"We developed SunSprite to empower people to ask themselves about light – and to find out whether they are getting the right amount of light, at the right intensity, at the right time of day. And transform what they learn into actions that improve their mood, focus, energy and sleep."

- Richard Schwartz, M.D. Co-founder, SunSprite

Why aren't we holding Apple's #HealthKit to higher standards?

http://readwrite.com/2014/10/24/apple-health-blood-glucose

HealthKit is Apple's backbone for propelling iOS, iPhone and iPad. It has been presented as the standard for mobile/ digital health - it could be revolutionary. Instead, it's the butt of jokes. But, these kind of jokes aren't funny - these glitches could costs someone's life.

Has Apple lost it's digital health, health?

Are #mhealth apps useless? There are many thinkers, clinicians, researchers, patients, entrepreneurs and investors who would disagree. Many would back this argument.

What do you think?

When You Stop Checking Facebook Constantly, These 10 Things Will Happen via +Lifehack

http://www.lifehack.org/articles/communication/when-you-stop-checking-facebook-constantly-these-10-things-will-happen.html

Yes, I accept the deep irony in posting this link on Google+.

But I definitely agree/ feel that Google+, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc (I am just getting back into Pinterest!) are turning me into a zombie.

Of course jumping into Google+ (especially the gorgeous Android app) for 'just a moment' turns into a 15 - 30 min tumble down a productivity sucking wormhole - it's built that way...

Every social network is in a battle for your eyeballs and your online spending. Don't be surprised to know there is deep psychological strategy behind all that the social networks do - their future depends on you spending your future in their never ending stream of status updates...

I'm off to check Twitter now!
Checking Facebook has become a chore for us but it doesn't have to be that way. Check out these things that'll happen once you stop checking Facebook!
