How do you feel about prescription drugs on the job site? http://ow.ly/QUMXj #HCSSBlog
It is no secret that injuries are an occurrence on the job site. While companies do what they can to minimize the number of injuries that happen by implementing safety regulations, the fact of the matter is accidents happen.

The most common of all Fatal Four incidents occur from falls -- 302 of 828 deaths in 2013 in construction alone http://ow.ly/QV6K6
If you've attended an OSHA Safety Training class or a construction safety meeting, you've heard of the Fatal Four. How can we lower these incidents?

Most Interesting Project 2014

How did HCSS Software assist with this project?

"HCSS HeavyBid was crucial in the bidding process and vital to the successful acquisition of this project. HeavyBid is set up to allow Mahan to bid unit price bid work and is ideally designed for heavy highway and DOT pursuits. Its ability to allow Mahan to set up subcontractors and enter material quotes is unmatched and is truly the best estimating package on the market for heavy highway and DOT pursuits." - C. J. HCSS develops software to help construction companies streamline their operations
Introduction
HCSS is a construction estimating and job management software company based in Sugar Land, Texas. http://www.hcss.com

Mission

To help customers dramatically improve their business through our innovative, high-quality software and exceptionally helpful service while providing a great life for our employees.
Company Overview

HCSS is a Sugar Land, Texas based construction software development and training company. Mike Rydin, HCSS President started the company in 1986 in his bedroom. Mike had previously worked in the estimating department of a large construction company and understood the importance of support to the business.

This lead to the concept of 24/7 support for HeavyBid the first product developed.

HeavyJob the second product was developed in 1998 and designed as a project management tool allowing foremen to have more information and responsibility to manage their work.

Further on as Mike visited customers, he noticed that most HCSS customers still had magnet boards or dry erase board for their dispatchers to keep track of their equipment and labor. This gave birth to The Dispatcher in 2004. The product duplicates all of the visual functions of the magnet board electronically. The Dispatcher can also use GPS to locate equipment, deter theft and get productivity analysis report.

HCSS began developing Equipment 360 in 2008; the product was designed to create a comprehensive equipment maintenance solution.

In addition to all these, HCSS also has a safety product “SafetyApplication”, which help collect safety related information and FuelerPlus a fuel tracking software.

Exceptional Customer service still remains the company’s core business and HCSS continues to provide 24/7 telephone support to over 25,000 customers.

HCSS currently has over 125 employees.
