“Our competitive culture rarely rewards stillness and imagination. From childhood, we are programmed to stop day dreaming and told to be constructive and busy instead.
But great art can come only from deep, focused attention–attention combined with the discipline of doing. In order to make our best work, “doing” must take place in a favorable environment–one that allows us to block extraneous interruptions and calm our own mental chatter.”
ecause I'm surrounded by artists in both my professional and personal life, people often ask me what insights I've gained into the creative process. The unromantic truth is that being an artist in any field is hard work. Because artists need a lot of time alone in order to create, they wrestle with loneliness and insecurity. They

helping Conrad Keely (one of my fave musicians from one of my fave bands –…and you will know us by the #trailofdead) add colour to some of his drawings. Here is a sneakpeak of one of them :) This is just the flat colour blocking stage, next stage is to add more shadow & depth to the illustration. But you can appreciate how intricate and strong his line work is! #digital #photoshop #illustration

oh gee whiz…
Japanese pet supply store Kandaya wants your pet to channel their inner samurai with some adorable armor. Using an eye-catching green and purple color palette, the shop designed a line of armor that mimics the Eva Unit-01 giant robot from the science fiction anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. They also have a more traditional line, which pays homage to the samurais of the past. One such samurai is actually buried in the same city where the store is l...

coffee was very acidic and over roasted ie burnt. service was also very acidic. we were looking forward to visiting this place as we are new residents in Lowell looking for excellent coffee. too bad we were greeted by barristas of whom another review describes as having unnecessary attitudes. i guess we weren't hip enough. won't be returning here.

Worth every penny paid for and probably the best dinner I have had in in a very long time :) We were very comfortable there and pampered with extremely competent wait -staff. Each glass of wine selected matched perfectly with every course. The only things I have to complain about is that they could have perhaps gone a little easier on the lemon peel in the first course :) But that's a matter of taste. Also, staff should also check the state of their Toilets at shorter intervals - as the disposal bins were overflowing with paper waste which somehow did not match the overall quality of the restaurant. I keep meaning to blog about this place...will update as soon as its done.

This restaurant takes me back to Bangkok's street kitchens whenever I have the luck of finding a spot to eat here during my lunch break :) This is really the best Thai restaurant in all of Germany hands down...and I have eaten at many Thai restaurants in this country. The only thing that is missing is a good pork stew with egg... I love that the kitchen of this restaurant barely europeanises their menu to "suit" the local taste buds. A real shame too that some people gave the decor a "1" everything about this place screams authenticity - definitely not your cliché buddha bar.

Not the best burgers in Munich (Superior burgers require a good grill and good grease :) ) and not your "traditional" burger joint/grease pit like from back home, but still very good and incorporates very creative ingredients. I have to commend the "branding" of this place as well—wonderful atmosphere and beautiful menus. This is a nice place to "wow" your date :)
