Android Apps! It's the only thing that makes sense
Okay, my first reaction seems to be in line with most of the web: $1,299! Why not just get a Macbook Air or Retina Macbook Pro? After thinking for a while, I am convinced that this is set up for the next big ChromeOS update.
Why does this need a touchscreen? It's a laptop, not a hybrid/convertible. The only way this makes sense is if this device eventually incorporates Android apps. That solves the offline complaints. It solves the webapp only complaints. It explains the Chrome Android statue in Mountain View (http://www.theverge.com/2013/1/31/3936342/google-unveils-new-chrome-android-statue-mountain-view
). It explains the title of their blog post, "The Chromebook Pixel, for what’s next."
What do you think?
