Back in May, a U.S. District Judge ruled that comments on the President's account and those of other government officials were public forums and that blocking critics on Twitter violated their rights to free speech.

Yesterday, President Trump unblocked some Twitter users and many celebrated this victory under the 1st Amendment.

🧘🏼‍♀️MINDFULNESS THROUGH MEDITATION🙏🏽

Perhaps you need to unwind, relax, de-stress and refocus at work. How about trying meditation with a focus on compassion for others?

How to start🧘🏾‍♂️:

1. Find a comfortable position sitting down
2. Elongate your spine and relax your shoulders
3. Focus your attention on your breathing—use your nose to inhale deeply and exhale
4. Bring to mind an image that represents unconditional love or acceptance. This could be a loved one, a pet, nature or a destination. You might even focus on the sun and its warmth and energy as it flows through you.
5. Next think about someone you hold dear to your heart. A child, significant other or family member whom you care for and want to extend warmth and affection.
6. As you think about this person, notice your feelings as they arise within you.
7. Now image this person experiencing some difficulty whether known or unknown. Take notice of the feelings of tenderness that arise in you and your desire to help.
8. As you imagine your loved one suffering, repeat these phrases:
• May you be happy.
• May you be healthy.
• May you know peace and joy.
• May you be free from suffering.

🚫Retaliation is Prohibited🚫

Employees who have filed complaints and/or have asserted rights protected by the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) cannot be discriminated against or discharged on account of such activity. If adverse action is taken against an employee for engaging in protected activity, the affected employee may file suit for relief, including reinstatement to his/her job, payment of lost wages, and damages. ⚖️LAWYERS ARE NOT IMMUNE TO SEXUAL HARASSMENT

👩🏾‍💼Among 2,827 lawyers working at law firms or as in-house counsel in 2016, a survey found that 9.6% of female minorities and 13.2% of white women reported they had lost work opportunities because they rebuffed sexual advances at work.

💁🏻‍♂️Meanwhile, 5.3% of minority men and 3.2% of white men reported the same lost opportunities after they turned down sexual advances on the job.

👩🏽‍🏭WHAT IS THE U.S. EMPLOYMENT SERVICE (USES)?🏬

The USES was first created when President Franklin Roosevelt signed the Wagner-Peyser Act into law 85 years ago on June 6. The USES was loosely based on an earlier “U.S. Employment Service,” created in 1918 to help the nation’s military build-up during World War I.

Then President, FDR, had created many government-funded work projects to help boost the economy and the USES was responsible for hiring the workers on those projects.

A primary goal of the USES was to improve coordination of services for the unemployed. Though there were many offices and agencies across the nation at various levels of government trying to help the jobless, they were not in sync with one another and this caused considerable confusion.

Today, the U.S. Employment Service is an agency of the federal government of the United States responsible for "assisting coordination of the State public employment services in providing labor exchange and job finding assistance to job seekers and employers".
