Not The Run I Was Hoping For - RunLog 7-24-16
This post was written for and first appeared on One Foot In Reality. Bennie has been feeling a little off because of the heat, he would prefer 20*F than 70*F. So I walked a mile or so with him and then went for my run. Run #1 Date: 7/24/16 Day: Sunday Time ...
Notes/Observations about the run: Actually, the weather was not too horrible, but it still was not all that great of a run. Yeah, I know some runs will suck worse, well a lot worse than others and this was just one of those ones that sucked. The pacing was about right for an easy run and similar ...

I got up and ran first thing this morning, it was perfect weather, but still slow. For my lunch run though, I was smart for a change, when I walked out of the building it was like a sledgehammer hit me. The temps were 89*F with a real feel of 96*F, so that means no outside running for me.

Nice Low Humidity Run - RunLog 7-19-16

I wanted to do something a little different and still get something close to 5.0 miles in. So I used a little of the comp time I have accumulated to take a longer lunch. I was not expecting the 12-20 mph breeze heading out, but the temps were nice and I wasn't out to run faster, just finish the ...

What Happened This Week? Work was busy as usual and around the house was not so much busy as never enough time to do all the things I would like to do. It was the week after a week off for vacation and I had gotten use to the do things at a slower pace that being on vacation allows.

More Consistent Lately - Week in Review 7-24-16

Although I did find out that the Nike Lunar Glide 8's are probably not going to be in my future, simply because the updated outsole design is not gonna work all that well for the type of running that I typically do. It is too smooth and looks like it will be a pebble magnet. Which is too bad, ...

We got out for a late morning run, which I think we both prefer, but at the same time it was starting to get a bit warmish, so we did slow down a bit the last half of the run. Then I decided to put the footpod on the LG3's, so I did another run to calibrate it. Also SD1 saw down at the Turnpike ...

I will not go quietly into the night.
Introduction

I can be a cantankerous old fart, who loves to run, am learning to enjoy getting older and is working hard as hell to get better as a runner, even as I get older - an oxymoron, but fits who I am. Yep, I have opinions about what I like and don’t like, am rather blunt about things, someone who can laugh at himself and has a definite running shoe problem.

Disclaimer: I do things my own way, so don't do things the same way that I do, they might not work the same for you. You are personally responsible for the things you do or try.
