I wish I had read all the 1 star reviews. They are 100% accurate. Let me list just a few of our issues: 1) ordered coffee 4 times before it was brought. Even then, never received cream and ran out of sugar. Nobody cared. 2) complete and utter disregard for our time by saying things like "I'll get that water for you right now," then we watch the waitress walk over to another table, seat 3 parties, chat with other workers, and bring the water 10 minutes later. This was repeated with almost every interaction. 2) both our orders were completely wrong. Wrong cheese, wrong vegetables, wrong pancakes, wrong egg cooking (over easy vs. yellow completely cooked), wrong meat. Everything was wrong except the general idea of the dish. After reading this on at least 10 other reviews, I cannot believe that there is any excuse other than the workers are either deliberately doing this or they are so far from competent that maybe they are illiterate. Honestly, that's probably the best explanation. 3) with 2 other tables in the restaurant, we were there for 1.5 hours total. The two of us. 4) the bill was wrong, and even after it was "fixed" it was $30 for two basic breakfasts and two coffees. Unbelievable. This experience was without a doubt the absolute worst breakfast experience I have ever had. I can be frustrated about poor service and other restaurant issues, but this was a new level. I wasn't even mad in the end. I was in despair and hopeless, willing to do anything to leave. I won't return.

Neal's Deli is a local Carrboro favorite which tends to jive well with the Carrboro culture - a distinctly granola feel with unique and delicious options on a moderate budget. Don't expect to get away with lunch for less than $9 to $12. While not a budget stop, Neal's makes up for it in ingredients and service. Each visit seems to be consistently good food with good service, though I have to remove 1 star for multiple occasions of not having everything on the menu available.

Just had to repost my review after having not learned the first 10 times. Unfortunately, the only Pizza Hut around, thus the only reason on earth I would order from them. Even then, they're not my first choice in pizza simply due to the service. 1+ hour for a delivery on a night where there are no other deliveries. Classic. Avoid it if you can. No thanks.

This is another local Carrboro and student favorite and the ratings are split between which customer group the reviewer believes is the one being served. And honestly sometimes it seems that Open Eye tries to cater to both at the detriment of each. The coffee is good (and especially hot!) but refills will empty your pockets if you're thinking of staying a while. That's probably by design to keep the students making it a second apartment, but too bad for the locals who want to meet and chat over a few cups. There is also music which is often unpredictably loud and high energy, somewhat tempered when the CD finishes with silence or someone forgets to start the next track. Evenings sometimes have live music, the volume of which is regulated only by the dying eardrums of the performer. Despite all this, the coffee is as good as you would like to expect, with wine options as well, and it's not difficult to meet a friend, have a cup of coffee, and enjoy the bustle of a college town coffee shop. In the end, isn't that the point of the place? Any frustrations will likely be met with good experiences in a subsequent visit. Enjoy the Carrboro culture and environment before it's gone.

Need help with something? You're on your own. One of your products locked behind glass and need a manager to get a key? Go ahead and mark your calendar for a 30 minute wait. The employees don't care how long you wait - the longer you wait the less work they have to do.
