White House's calligrapher makes almost $97,000
"Despite the sluggish job market salaries are up at the White House. Last Friday the administration released its annual report on staff salaries.

This year the payroll stands at $37.8 million and covers 468 employees.
That is up slightly from last year and higher than President George W. Bush's last year in office.

In 2008, staff salaries totaled a little over $33 million and included 447 employees.
And if you are in the market for a new career, you might want to think about calligraphy.

Some schools may be abandoning cursive writing in class but the White House's chief calligrapher makes almost $97,000 a year."
