Lincoln Memorial
This place is always very crowded. It was hard to get a photo without someone in it. The statue is 19 feet high and weighs 175 tons. It is one of the most recognized structures in the United States.  Inside there are inscriptions of Lincoln’s Second Inaugural Address and arguably his most famous speech, the Gettysburg Address.

Korean War Veterans Memorial
One of my favorite place to photograph was the Korean War Veterans Memorial resides on the National Mall, southeast of the Lincoln Memorial and just south of the Reflecting Pool. The memorial commemorates the sacrifices of the 5.8 million Americans who served in the U.S. armed services during the Korean War.

Washington Monument
The Washington Monument dominates the United States Capital skyline. If you look west you see the Lincoln Memorial , East the Capital, north the White House Visitors may tour the 500 foot level observation deck. Visitors then proceed down the steps to the 490' level museum. It is the world's tallest free-standing stone structure, towering more than 555 feet (169 meters)and constructed from marble, granite and gneiss.

Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall Washington, DC
The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall USA website is dedicated to honoring those 58,000 servicemen and women who gave their lives in service in the Vietnam Conflict.
The memorial also includes "The Three Servicemen" statue and the Vietnam Women's Memorial. I was there Memorial day weekend and lots of people putting flowers on the site.

I went here with my Son and his wife in March around Memorial day. The National Mall is two-mile swath in the middle of our capital city and stretching from the foot of the United States Capitol to the Potomac River. One of the most popular events there is the Cherry Blossom Festival that is around March 28 - April 12.
