Hey guys! Here is a video demo of +BootDroid app that me and +Sheharyar Naseer have been working on. It's a very simple reboot app for rooted Android devices. What do you think of the design? Looking forward to your feedback!

Update releasing in a couple of days. You can download the existing old app from here: http://goo.gl/UHGnmR

Are you a programmer who wants to start developing apps on Android? This is the perfect time for you to get started and learn mobile development -- right from your home!

Google has partnered up with Udacity to bring you a free Android Fundamentals course. You will be able to build an Android app, and learn best practices of mobile development in general and Android development in particular. This will be a 6 weeks course starting from NEXT WEEK!

NOTE: Registration is MANDATORY -- only confirmed and shortlisted attendees will be sent the confirmation email with venue and course details!

----------------------------------------------
 HOW, WHEN & WHERE?

We are organizing a small "introductory session" on how to get started with this course on Udacity and about the meetups that will take place every week.

Prerequisites: This is an Advanced course intended for students with at least 3 years of programming experience in Java or another object-oriented programming language (for example: C++, Objective C or Python). We will be mostly working with Java, so make sure you refresh your Java skills before hand.

There are SIX lessons that you will complete in this Android Fundamentals course over the period of SIX weeks -- one week for each lesson. Students will watch online tutorials and practice/perform them throughout the week. And at the end of every week, there will be a meetup where they can discuss or ask for help regarding that week’s lesson. For each week's meetup, participants should have already finished the lesson (and all its activities) from home. The seventh session will be for the presentation of final projects.

Introduction

I’m Haris Nadeem, a 20 year old web entrepreneur from Pakistan. I’m in my Bachelors (Computer Science) at University of Central Punjab and hope to become a software engineer some day (I know it’s a joke! ). I love blogging, tweeting, wasting time, eating, web developing (a bit, not much) and discovering new stuff.

As for my blogging ventures, I’ve been blogging on Sizzled Core since July, 2007 which is a technology-focused blog/e-magazine on tips and tricks, gadgets, softwares, social and tech media news. It earns me enough money to buy my favourite gadgets, party and fill my tummy 24/7

I recently started Android Pakistan (after 3 FAILED blogging projects), where I cover all the Android-related happenings in Pakistan. Well, I only started that blog because hardly anything Android-related happens here and I wont have to give much time to that blog. Heh!
