My family and I moved into this place 3 months ago and we love it. We live in a 2be/1ba top floor apartment. Pros: -They have Outdoor and indoor swimming pool, the water is not heated but it is not really cold. -2 floor Gym, Heavy lifting and Cardio equipment, sauna, racquetball court and lockers, everything is old but if you're not a high performance athlete it is enough. -Fixes are done really fast. They have fixed my t-stat, unclogged my bathtub, and next week are going to replace my fridge with brand new one. If you call in the morning (9am) they'll probably fix the issue the same day. -The size of the bathroom is good. -They have a small balcony and a storage room. -LOCATION 1.3 mi from Westfield mall, 3.5 mi from Downtown, easy access to route 50, close to AAMC, walking distance from Bestgate park. -Staff has been always polite and courteous. -Parking is first-come first-served -Laundry in unit -Quiet neighborhood -You can drill on the walls, as long as the holes are smaller than a quarter. -Water heater and stove are electric (I like to have only one bill) Cons: -Appliances are old and ugly, my fridge was manufactured on '91 (It has been malfunctioning, I called the manager and they're planning to replace it next week) -They do not have break lease fee, you have to pay for the rent until your contract is over or until they find a new renter. -Parking is first-come first-served -You can only have comcast services -You can hear the fire trucks sirens every now and then, there is a fire department kind of close Notes: T-mobile phone signal is good. For the price I am paying I am very happy living here with my wife and my son. If you are interested in living here you can send me a message, I will update my review if something changes. Manuel

Recently, My wife and I visited Harbour Gates apartments. We where asked to give our pictured IDs to view the available apartments. I had mine but my wife forgot hers. We were told, I could view the apartment, but my wife could not. It was a 50 mile drive to our home and I asked for the manager on her view. The Manager was most rude. It was my wife for God's sake. I also noticed that vacancies are very high at Harbour Gates.

Air conditioning unit went out five times within a month and a half. Two of those times happened within 24 hours of maintenance coming out to fix it. At one point, the low was 90, I informed them when I called that the AC was broken, we live on the top level and I have a two year old and a babysitter in the apartment at this time. They told me someone would be out by the end of the business day. I called at 8:30am. I returned home at 8:15pm. Called the 24 hour maintenance number and they magically made it out to us at around 10:00pm. Not worth the trouble, nor the sarcasm from the managers, nor the unsettling "creepiness" of the maintenance men.

Unfortunately one of the nicer apartments in the area. Will find a way to screw you out of your security deposit when you leave. Don't believe anything the front desk tells you, get everything in writing, because when you move out they will charge you an outrageous amount to paint or fix whatever you may have modified under the false belief that it was Ok to do so.

Horrible horrible HORRIBLE place on earth. Had to stay there for a year and that's the worst decision I've made. Location is good, it looks clean and deceivingly invitingat first but don't be fooled by location. Which itself won't get you far with rude and mean staff. The manager of the property Florence is very rude, has no respect or manners what-so-ever. Once you sign the lease maintenance forgets about your existence!!!! They walk into the apartment bluntly, not even knocking and making sure people are not doing "their things" or naked or anything, they just get into your apartment in dirty shoes, which was a shocker to me with small kids at home! Staff is terrible, moody and won't move a finger once you sign the lease. Walls are VERY thin!!!!!!!!! I mean V E R Y thin, old outdated kitchen cabinets, ancient fridge! Long story short, RUN, find another place where you will have peace of mind.

Management is responsive with issues. Maintenance is quick to fix things the first time. The apartments are great. All appliances are included upon move in.

I looked at quite a few places before I moved to Annapolis, and this was the best place for the price. The location is ideal: close to Rte 50, the mall, the hospital, my work and even relatively close to downtown. The rooms are a good size, but the kitchen is very small in comparison. Occasionally, I will hear the people upstairs but that is something I have always dealt with living in apartment complexes. I will say the windows aren't very insulated, so it is a good idea to take some extra measures to keep the electric bill down in the winter. So far, the staff have been really friendly and helpful. All packages that you get are delivered to the office, so you don't have to risk something being taken off your doorstep. Unfortunately, if you work during the office hours, then you have to wait until the weekend to get your mail. I haven't had any issues with parking and there are always extra spaces if my friends come to visit. This apt complex is also cat and dog friendly, but they don't allow caged pets which was surprising to me.
