Adding living space to your property is a sound investment, especially if your home is small. A new deck is especially a good choice because it will increase your house’s appeal in the real estate market and your home value. Perhaps, the most beneficial aspect of adding a deck will be that it will grant you a great return on investment. However, there are many other reasons why you should contemplate this project. The addition of a new deck is a time efficient project, which means it will take less time to build than adding a room inside the house and even less time for you to be able to enjoy the benefit. A deck is very convenient and efficient area for your family to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities all year long. Moreover, you can upgrade your deck by customizing as much as you want all the way from adding outdoor furniture to adding a kitchen or grill.

Basement insulation is a sound investment considering that the lack of insulation in this part of your home will reduce sound noise and heat up the top floor. The pipes in the basement must be insulated to minimize moisture from getting to the sheet-rock and creating fungus. We use solid insulation to maintain the dry wall, dry and off moisture. With the framing behind the wall, there will be open spaces to maintain air circulation. So if there is a case of dripping, it does not get to the sheet-rock and the foundation dries quicker. This is my experience with the basements I have seen.
