It is time local investors join the party as well. Pakistan is a gold mine of opportunities for the truly visionary, local investors with large balls and an appetite for risk looking for big rewards – people who can consider and invest in the opportunities lurking underneath the veil of ‘mostly perception based’ geo-political and security issues.
I believe that the technology entrepreneurship ecosystem in Pakistan is at a tipping point! There are a number of factors at play that make Pakistan so ripe for both local and international investors looking to invest in the tech space: Quickly growing internet adoption currently estimated to be 25 million internet users and 15 million mobile…

I am just back from desert safari tour and I loved it! The price I paid was similar to what I paid yesterday in taxi fares for a round trip from my residence on the border of Sharjah - Dubai to Knowledge Village and back. In same price safari driver picked me from my residence and after picking other guests we went for Dune Bashing in a desert which was at 1 hour drive from city towards Oman. The dune bashing was amazing, an absolute adrenaline rush .. we had about 20 min of Safari when a guest in our 4x4 started feeling bad so we had to stop two times and then returned back towards the main road for refreshments (it is beneficial to not to eat anything after 1pm if you are going on evening safari). After that we went for the safari camp which was another 20 mins away. Inside camp everything was free. Upon arrival we had local traditional sweets then I went to a nearby dune to watch absolutely amazing sunset in the desert. When I came back, the camp was fully alive. I had Sheesha, then they served Shawarmas (2 in a plate), after that there was a performance of tanoura dance, then they served vegetarian buffet (around 4-5 dishes with rice, humous, bread and salad) and separate BBQ servings with soft drinks. After we finished our dinner there was belly dance, the performer made few guests to come on stage and dance with her. The atmosphere was good for family visitors and although it was an evening in May the camp was near it's full capacity. I never went near Henna, local dress, carpets or photographer stalls but Camel Ride outside was free, for Quad bikes you have to give 100AED extra. We left the camp at 8:45pm and driver dropped me back at my residence at Sharjah border. The tour was more than what I expected and I would definitely recommend it to my friends!
