As the 120-ton space shuttle sits surrounded by almost 4 million pounds of rocket fuel, exhaling noxious fumes, visibly impatient to defy gravity, its on-board computers take command.

Basically the only reason I go to Facebook is because of the people I want to talk to who have an account. In other words, Facebook's only appeal is the user base. Since Google+ doesn't yet have that user base, they don't have anything. Facebook had to overcome the same obstacle to topple MySpace back in the day, and they did that with a simpler user interface, an older clientele, and artificial exclusivity. G+ doesn't seem to have any of those advantages, if anything, it has a lot of striking similarities to Facebook, so what's the real appeal? I'm not sure there is one. For me it would be a better seamless integration with all Google products, including my Droid phone. They haven't accomplished that yet. For instance, when I get a gmail message that says I have a new friend request on G+ and I click it, instead of opening the G+ app on my phone to handle it, it opens the browser. Those nitpicky things will kill it for me.
