Greatness Continues - Review of The Winter Soldier
I very much liked Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) and the sequel, Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), seemed extremely promising so at my first chance to see it I did so. This might have been a mistake since the cinema I watched it in had surprisingly poor image quality. It might just be me who is too used to BluRay and HD streaming, but this experience certainly will make me think twice before next time going to the movies instead of waiting for the movie to be available in HD.

Anyway, back to the movie. It had the expected Marvel parts but a whole lot more. What surprised me the most was not the plot aspects I did not see coming but rather the array of multi-dimensional characters - both men and women. This is something which Marvel previously has shown to be able to do but which I think The Winter Soldier is the finest example we have seen so far of having pretty much every single character, male and female, seem human and relatable.

The Winter Soldier is a prime example of a great action adventure movie. Interesting plot, thrilling action, amazing characters, and an universe where all these parts feel perfectly at home. Another great one in a series of great Marvel movies.

Oh, and lastly: booyah, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch!
