Captivating and Heartfelt - Review of Silver Linings Playbook
Let me try this again after abandoning my first attempt at a review of Silver Linings Playbook (2012) since I didn't know how to express how I felt about it.

Silver Linings Playbook is a movie which I had gotten my hopes up for, partly because of its 8 Oscar nominations of which Jennifer Lawrence won for best performance by an actress in a leading role. The main two things I expected from Silver Linings Playbook were for it to have some amazing acting and for me to be very moved by it. Both were indeed very much the case. Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro, and Jacki Weaver were all nominated for Oscars for their parts in Silver Linings Playbook and I can certainly see why. They are all absolutely amazing and the depth they brought to their characters was really what made the movie so immensely captivating and moving.

Silver Linings Playbook is heartfelt in a very beautiful way. Its characters are intriguingly well-written and portrayed to the same degree of excellence. This was the movie I had dared to hope for and one I can highly recommend.
