+SolidRun has launched an affordable ARM Linux router board with fast storage and network interfaces. It also exposes GPIOs and supports 3G modules for IoT applications.
SolidRun introduced ClearFog Pro and Base board based on Marvell Armada 380/388 processor at the end of last year, but at the time, only the higher-end ClearFog Pro board was available for $170 and up. Now the company has officially launched the cheaper ClearFog Base board based on the same ...

Serial tipster @evleaks mentioned on his Twitter account that the Android 7.0 Nougat update will be released “next month” (i.e. August), along with the 5th August security patch. He also goes on to mention that Nexus 5 users will not get Android 7.0 Nougat update despite its early release, but the move isn’t very surprising

ODROID Magazine for August 2016 is now available!

http://magazine.odroid.com/201608

The oCam peripheral, which is a high-end 720p camera made specifically for use with ODROID devices, will soon have a new version available, with the main feature being a global shutter instead of a rolling shutter.  This allows you to take more professional pictures without distortion.  Our feature article this month demonstrates the difference between the shutter types so that you can decide which will work best for your application.  There is also a new power supply available for the ODROID-XU4 which delivers much more power to the peripherals.  It’s available for purchase at http://bit.ly/2aM8yHi.

Volumio also has an upcoming release with many improvements, and we are lucky enough to have a sneak peek at its new features.  Adrian continues his series on improving wireless network security with the first of a two-part article on WPA hacking, Nanik details the Android Hardware Abstraction Layer, Nicolas gives an overview of Recalbox, which turns your ODROID-XU4 into a great set-top box, and Michael presents his fantastic high performance coputing cluster.  Additionally, we highlight several games for both Android and Linux, including the Löve Engine, which lets you create your own games!

- Android Development:  Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL)
- The Matrix:  It Will Always Be Cool

http://odroid.in/ubuntu_16.04lts/

It must be useful for server and embedded applications. ODROID-C2 and ODROID-C1+ have on-board Gigabit Ethernet controller. Our bi-directional streaming speed was measured at ~900Mbps on ODROID-C2.
