When it comes to those pesky yet beautiful creatures we call jellyfish, we can now hit the beach with less to worry about. UH Researcher Angel Yanagihara brings a cream and spray for jellyfish stings to market - “Sting No More," launched by Alatalab Solutions, a company created by Yanagihara.

Nice article Ryan Ozawa! A University of Hawaii researcher today announced that a jellyfish sting treatment that she has been developing for years is finally available for public sale. http://buff.ly/1GjR1LJ #HTDCorg

Welcome to Monday! Science as a tool for translation rather than invention. What does that mean? Check out this TED talk.
Hamish Jolly, an ocean swimmer in Australia, wanted a wetsuit that would deter a curious shark from mistaking him for a potential source of nourishment. (Which, statistically, is rare, but certainly a fate worth avoiding.) Working with a team of scientists, he and his friends came up with a fresh approach — not a shark cage, not a suit of chain-mail, but a sleek suit that taps our growing understanding of shark vision.

You don't need to be first to the game, you just need to be better at it... The implications of this structural shift are quite profound. http://buff.ly/1MSYpCK #HTDCorg
