Now Available - RUSH's "Moving Pictures" in 48/24!:

"The early Eighties were an interesting time for prog rock. Bands like Rush, Genesis and Yes were shortening their songs, writing poppier tunes and actually landing huge hits on the radio. Punk had tried to kill prog, but all it did was convince the bands it was time for a change. Rush had been moving away from their grand epics for a couple of years before they cut Moving Pictures, partially influenced by bands like the Police. Fueled by the hits "Tom Sawyer" and "Limelight," Moving Pictures was a massive smash for Rush. Five of the seven songs are under five minutes, though "The Camera Eye" clocks in at a whopping 11:01. In many ways, this LP represented a commercial peak for the band.."

+James O'Connor my dad played Rush when me and my brother were in the car, when I was like 5,the only song for certain I remember hearing is The Camera Eye.
It wasn't until 5th grade I actually got into music. I was surrounded by Taylor Swift and Katy Perry. I then stumbled upon The Counting Crows. That's when I got into rock. I listened to older things like Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Bryan Adams, Rush, and Pink Floyd. Then really got into modem rock.

It's all fine, but how do you possibly come up with your prices? Vivaldi's Four Seasons is available on the blu ray high fidelity disc (24 bit/96kHz, brand new) for £8 (just check the Amazon UK, for instance), and that's including delivery. You are trying to sell the same (though as a download only) for twice as much. Twice as much! Really disappointing and so unexplainable to me. OK, money doesn't matter when it comes to the great music, agreed on this, but I'm just trying to do some basic maths!

Now Available in Hi-Res 96/24! - Sly & The Family Stone's "Live at the Fillmore East October 4th & 5th 1968"

"This performance is living breathing evidence of how much of a force of nature Sly & the Family Stone were at this point of their career...Every member of the group shines in a way that I can only describe as a revelation. It was enjoyable listening to the band break free from the studio arrangements of the songs we know and love to find new interpretations. And to think they did this twice in one
evening!" - "Captain" Kirk Douglas of The Roots - via Rolling Stone

Now available in Hi-Res 96/24 - Earth, Wind & Fire's "Open Our Eyes"

"A pleasant miscellany of Africana, Latin rhythms, well-mannered funk, smooth jazz, Sly Stone, Stevie Wonder and the Fifth Dimension, Earth Wind & Fire's Open Our Eyes has both disco and easy-listening appeal, and it's so cheerful one scarcely minds the lack of focus and distinction...Among the distinctively positive elements: Maurice White's ringing kalimba, Andrew Woolfolk's fluent soprano sax, someone's eerie falsetto squeal, and everybody's good humor." - Rolling Stone

Now Available - Amy Winehouse's "Back To Black" in Hi-Res 96/24!

"An international smash finally seeing U.S. release, "Back to Black" is a guileless, brutal breakup album that can sit with the best of them, set to the sounds of music's finest early rock moments. Producers Ronson and Remi capture Winehouse's '60s girl group vibe expertly, all piano arpeggios and punchy horns, with one foot in theatrical doo-wop and another in soulful Motown. But Winehouse is an entirely new creature, a product of hip-hop and jazz, experience, not innocence. She confesses like Liz Phair, accuses like Mary J. Blige and aches like Nina Simone in a controlled alto that can wring emotion out of a low C. "Rehab," an intervention rejection, sounds like a gospel work song. "You Know I'm No Good" is as hip-hop as it is blues with a chomping breakbeat and Ghostface Killah cameo. By album's end, you're left just like Winehouse-spent but wanting more." - Billboard (2007)
