Oh my word, this is hilarious! Ok, Michigan - you can have Brest Bay - but did you know that Maryland has an Assawoman Bay? And an Assateague Island? Good to know if you teach Middle School [wink wink] Good for "sit your Assateague Island down, young lady"  Just kidding.

Massachusetts has the town of Athol. Babson College's mascot is a beaver and the female athletes are called "lady beavers".

Why you should consider a professional school Instagram account & a custom school hashtag!
I was recently inspired by teacher librarian Ms. Diana Rendina, to create a professional Instagram account for our MHMS Daring School Library Media Center. Why should you consider it? “Go where your customers are” Here’s a qu...

This was my first time attending ISTE and I have to say that the tagline fits. It was energetic. After four days my brain was pretty fried. I thought TCEA was big, and it is one of the biggest state edtech conventions, but IS...

I am super inspired by this! I'm going to be blogging soon about my new Social Media Inspired lesson #StoryIn140  and I will have to embed this video in that post. Great ideas for extensions for high school and higher education students.

Yup, they're trying to copy Samberg style videos - and why shouldn't they? They were awesome!  #LonelyIsland must have given them the greenlight for the homage, right? Though, it's SO not Lazy Sunday, I'm on a Boat or even Hugs feat. Pharell. But good effort, boys!

Yeah but everything was all there doing and there work. Honestly snl imo hasn't been funny since maybe the 90's. The only reason why it got funny again was because of the lonely island. Now since there gone snl is screwed.

This is just brilliant! We shared it on our LIVE! daily news show MHTV so all of our middle schoolers could enjoy it and have it stuck in their heads all day.
You're welcome!

The Daring Librarian
Introduction
Gwyneth A. Jones, aka The Daring Librarian, is a blogger, a Tweeter, an international Ed Tech speaker, trope and meme archivist, creator of content, a citizen of advocacy, and a resident of social media. Gwyneth was an elected member of the ISTE Board of Directors, a Library Journal 2011 Mover & Shaker, a Google Certified Teacher, Den Star, a fangirl of Cthulhu & the band Xtc, a friend of Trogdor, an enemy of Zombies, and the author of the award winning Daring Librarian blog.   Admittedly, she’s also a Whovian goofball, a geek, and ridiculously humble.

I've stopped by this convenience store for over 15 years, had a smile, hello, wave, & nod relationship with the owners - they've expanded to carrying wines & spirits. Stopped by to get a Bota box of wine for a party (abt. $22) prices are NOT the cheapest, but I guess that's what you get for convenience. Went to the party the next night and as soon as I poured half a glass it was obvious it had turned. Chardonnay should not be beige. I brought it back to the store the next day with the receipt and a tiny plastic cup to demonstrate to the owner it was bad, we just wanted an exchange - he was VERY RUDE! He said it was fine, I was wrong, argued with me loudly - I was shocked! I mean, we're talking ruining the good relationship of so many years with a sour exchange of a damaged product. SO SAD! That being said, if this is how they treat a long time customer, how dismissive will they be to new ones? Keep driving - I'm speaking with my feet.
