OK, so like I'm getting lots of cold calls from vendors & emails about my upcoming appearance at FETC flattering but annoying!  (Does anyone like cold calls? I remember making cold calls back when I was in sales, Hello it's MCI -would you like to change your long distance carrier!) BLECH!

  ...But this...this sounds SUPER COOL!

The Daring Librarian
Introduction
Gwyneth A. Jones, aka The Daring Librarian, is a blogger, a Tweeter, an international Ed Tech speaker, trope and meme archivist, creator of content, a citizen of advocacy, and a resident of social media. Gwyneth was an elected member of the ISTE Board of Directors, a Library Journal 2011 Mover & Shaker, a Google Certified Teacher, Den Star, a fangirl of Cthulhu & the band Xtc, a friend of Trogdor, an enemy of Zombies, and the author of the award winning Daring Librarian blog.   Admittedly, she’s also a Whovian goofball, a geek, and ridiculously humble.

I've stopped by this convenience store for over 15 years, had a smile, hello, wave, & nod relationship with the owners - they've expanded to carrying wines & spirits. Stopped by to get a Bota box of wine for a party (abt. $22) prices are NOT the cheapest, but I guess that's what you get for convenience. Went to the party the next night and as soon as I poured half a glass it was obvious it had turned. Chardonnay should not be beige. I brought it back to the store the next day with the receipt and a tiny plastic cup to demonstrate to the owner it was bad, we just wanted an exchange - he was VERY RUDE! He said it was fine, I was wrong, argued with me loudly - I was shocked! I mean, we're talking ruining the good relationship of so many years with a sour exchange of a damaged product. SO SAD! That being said, if this is how they treat a long time customer, how dismissive will they be to new ones? Keep driving - I'm speaking with my feet.
