Per a twitter post by @prorlandosouza: In 1914 a boy chained his bike to a tree to go fight in the war, he never returned.

I am fascinated by this image and the story it holds. And as I gaze, I wonder....does the earth speak to him through its heartbeat?

Great photo and comment!
This person disappeared. The book sucked her in... clearly.

An interview about my book.....

Entered a link to my book on Amazon. It linked fine, but the photo of a different book appeared -- not my book. This also happened to my friend (another book appeared). Why is this happening?

This summer Dr. Pamela Brewer interviewed me about my book. She focused on a difficult but current topic---domestic violence, and asked an important question--why do people stay in such relationships. Though the conversation covers complicated terrain, it also speaks of joy, of healing, of moving into the wonder of life. For those who may be interested:

I love this photo--the exuberance it conveys (thank you to +500px). At a time when the media is focused on domestic violence and war, we hold on to hope. Sometimes hidden in the cover of trees, the mist from crashing ocean waves, the warmth of a young child's embrace--hope awaits us. And...if we grab hold, we know what we must do, for each of us has a part to play in life's symphony.
