Great idea!  The functionality of the Pebble in a kettle-ball inspired form factor.  We will call it the Boulder.

Making of the suits for Pacific Rim.  Actor 3D scans pulled into digital sculpting tools, referencing costume designer sketches, 3d printing the parts, post processing...

Hope a lot more of the details of this stuff lands up in the Blueray/DVD releases.

Incredible shots, would love to see their rig. Thanks for the kind words, love your 360 work. I still have not managed to get my own going. 3d printer is too good at enticing me away when I'm feeling creative. No complaints there though.

On my morning walk bumped into nature photographers Yogi and Stella from Jürgen Freund Photography.  They have just moved to FNQ and mentioned that they taught a photography workshop through JCU recently, and plan to do more.  Gah, I can't believe I didn't hear about that!  I love their work, how great would it be to be able to go shoot with them.

Astounding.  I am suddenly reminded of the Tom Swift novels from my childhood.

SpaceX Grasshopper Successfully Completes 100m Lateral Divert Test!
SpaceX Grasshopper Divert | Single Cam HD 720p Video
On August 13th, 2013 the Falcon 9 test rig (code name Grasshopper) completed a divert test, flying to a 250m altitude with a 100m lateral maneuver before returning to the center of the pad. The test demonstrated the vehicle's ability to perform more aggressive steering maneuvers than have been attempted in previous flights.

Grasshopper is taller than a ten story building, which makes the control problem particularly challenging. Diverts like this are an important part of the trajectory in order to land the rocket precisely back at the launch site after reentering from space at hypersonic velocity.

You can find a datasheet for the VID29 (and library code, mechanical drawings, etc) here:
http://guy.carpenter.id.au/gaugette/resources/
However from your hints about your intended applications in your previous post, I am sure you will find the X25/VID29 type motors have too little torque for mechatronic applications and are much too slow to drive a propellor (maxing out around 2 revs/second).
