Making videos is hard.  It's taken a lot longer than I hoped to get this finished.  Anyway, here you go - Convergence In Action.

All the Unity & Mir code will land in the trunk once the teams are happy with the quality.  Some of it is already there.  We're still not quite satisfied with Xmir, there is more work to do around the input stack, so please bear with us while we get the bugs ironed out and then we'll get the alpha version ready for you to try on your own devices.

If you can get to MWC, come and see us in hall 8, 1F41.  If you can't, that's why we made you this video, and I'll capture a few moments from next week and share them here.

Filmed in Potatovision.

(Huge thanks to everyone who helped get us this far.  Thanks for staying up late, getting up early and working through lunchtimes to fix bugs, add features and get the demo's working.  It is enormously appreciated.  Go Ubuntu!)

Ubuntu Snappy on a Beaglebone Black peaks at 393mA on boot, idles at 223mA with CPU at ~50℃, and goes to ~60℃ on tight loop. No peripherals.

A good temperature for mate water is ~70⁰C when heated, pours at ~63⁰C, cools to ~56⁰C at the straw tip. #science

I remain impressed by how quickly the Ubuntu Phone team et al. pulled off a phone oriented flavor with such a slick user experience.

When the #juju developers get tired of coding in the sprint, they go to the coffee area in the hotel lobby for some casual conversations, as clearly demonstrated in this picture.

Why sit and code when you can stand and code?

8yo girl told me I shouldn't try to explain how a clock works because she has a "bad head". Silly and life changing parenting screwup.

+Niko SchwarzPreserving the innate curiosity and learning interest of a child is one of the top responsibilities of a parent. That particular child is not used to having people taking the time to explain things to her in a friendly way, and also had the abysmal notion that no matter how much people try she won't understand even simple things. This sort of silly and major screwup is commonly created by parents reinforcing the idea the child was born faulty and won't learn, and even if it wasn't the case, fixing that is one of the most important things they can do for their child's life.

Deleted all past history from Facebook, and dropped pretty much all connections but family.

+Casey Canonical Marshall at least for me it is. I can largely select what content I see on G+, and I've found it to be very engaging.

While we watch closely the latest news about nearby planets, someone is quite excited to discover our very own.

Anyone know of an ARMv7+ SOC board that consumes less than 100mA when churning, and under 10mA on low power mode?
